“ Leave it alone,” he said.“ Don’t let anyone disturb his bones.” So they spared his bones and those of the prophet who had come from Samaria.

“ Leave it alone,” Josiah said.“ Don’t let anyone touch his bones.” So they spared his bones. They also spared the bones of the prophet who had come from the northern kingdom of Israel.

And he said,“ Let him be; let no man move his bones.” So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet who came out of Samaria.

Josiah replied,“ Leave it alone. Don’t disturb his bones.” So they did not burn his bones or those of the old prophet from Samaria.

So he said,“ Let him rest. Don’t let anyone disturb his bones.” So they left his bones undisturbed with the bones of the prophet who came from Samaria.

And he said,“ Leave him alone; no one is to disturb his bones.” So they left his bones undisturbed with the bones of the prophet who came from Samaria.

And he said,“ Let him alone; let no one move his bones.” So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet who came from Samaria.

And he said, Let him be; let no man move his bones. So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet that came out of Samaria.

So he said,“ Let him rest. Don’t let anyone disturb his bones.” So they left his bones undisturbed with the bones of the prophet who came from Samaria.

The king said,“ Leave it alone! No one must touch his bones.” So they left his bones undisturbed, as well as the bones of the Israelite prophet buried beside him.

那時有一個神人憑着永恆主的話從猶大來到伯特利；耶羅波安正站在祭壇旁要燻祭；神人憑着永恆主的話攻擊那祭壇而喊叫、說：『壇哪，壇哪，永恆主這麼說：「大衛王室必生個兒子、名叫約西亞；他必將邱壇的祭司、就是在你上面燻祭的、宰殺在你上面；人必將人的骨頭燒在你上面。」』那一天神人指出一個兆頭說：『看吧，這壇必破裂，壇上的灰必傾撒下來：這是永恆主所說到的兆頭。』耶羅波安王聽見神人的話、就是他攻擊伯特利的壇所喊叫的話，便從壇上伸手、說：『抓住他。』王所伸要拿住神人的手就枯乾了，不能縮回來。這時壇也破裂，壇上的灰也傾撒下來，正如神人憑着永恆主的話所指出的兆頭。王應時對神人說：『請為我禱告，求求永恆主你的上帝的情面，使我的手能縮回來。』神人一求永恆主的情面，王的手就縮回了來，像起先一樣。王對神人說：『請跟我到家裏去、喫點點心；我也要將禮物賜給你。』神人對王說：『你就使把你家產的一半給了我，我也不同你進去，也不在這地方喫飯喝水；因為憑着永恆主的話、我是這樣受吩咐說：「你不可喫飯喝水，也不可從你去的原路上回來。」』於是神人從別條路上走，不從他到伯特利來的原路上回去。有一個老神言人住在伯特利。他的兒子們來，將神人那一天在伯特利所行的一切事都向他敘說，也將神人對王所說的話都向他們父親敘說。他們的父親問他們說：『神人從哪一條路走了呢？』他的兒子們就把從猶大來的神人所走的路指給他看。他就對他的兒子們說：『給我豫備了驢』；他們把驢給他豫備好了，他就騎上，去追趕神人；遇見他坐在聖篤耨香樹底下，就問他說：『你是從猶大來的神人不是？』他說：『是的。』老神言人對他說：『請跟我到家裏去喫飯。』神人說：『我不能跟你回去，或是跟你進去；也不能在這地方跟你喫飯，也不能跟你喝水；因為憑着永恆主的話我曾經受過吩咐說：「你在那裏不可喫飯，不可喝水，也不可從你去的原路上回來。」』老神言人對他說：『我也是個神言人、和你一樣；有個天使憑着永恆主的話告訴了我說：「你去叫他跟你回家，讓他喫飯喝水。」』——這都是老神言人欺騙他的。——於是神人跟老神言人回去，在他家裏喫飯喝水。二人坐席的時候，永恆主的話傳與那帶神人回來的神言人；他就對那從猶大來的神人喊着說：『永恆主這麼說：「你既違背了永恆主所吩咐的，不遵守永恆主你的上帝所囑咐你的命令，反倒回來，在永恆主告訴你不可喫飯喝水的地方來喫飯喝水；因此你的屍體不得入你列祖的墳墓。」』
