Elijah said to Elisha,“ Please wait here, for Yahweh has sent me as far as Bethel.” Elisha said,“ As Yahweh lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

以利亚对以利沙说：“耶和华差我往伯特利去，你可以在这里等候。”以利沙说：“我指着永生的耶和华，又敢在你面前起誓，我必不离开你。”于是二人下到伯特利。

以利亞謂以利沙曰、耶和華遣我至伯特利、請爾待此、以利沙曰、我指維生之耶和華、及爾生命而誓、我不離爾、於是二人下伯特利、

以利亞告以利沙曰、耶和華使我往伯特利、汝可待此。以利沙曰、我指耶和華而誓、亦指爾生命以誓、我不離爾。乃偕往伯特利。

以利亞謂以利沙曰、主遣我往伯特利、爾且待此、以利沙曰、我指永生主而誓、亦指爾之生命而誓、我不離爾、於是二人下伯特利、

Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here; the Lord has sent me to Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ As surely as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here. The Lord has sent me to Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ I won’t leave you. And that’s just as sure as the Lord and you are alive.” So they went down to Bethel.

And Elijah said to Elisha,“ Please stay here, for the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

And Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here, for the Lord has told me to go to Bethel.” But Elisha replied,“ As surely as the Lord lives and you yourself live, I will never leave you!” So they went down together to Bethel.

and Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here; the LORD is sending me on to Bethel.” But Elisha replied,“ As the LORD lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

And Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here please, for the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ As surely as the Lord lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

Then Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here, please, for the Lord has sent me on to Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!” So they went down to Bethel.

And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for Jehovah hath sent me as far as Beth- el. And Elisha said, As Jehovah liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth- el.

and Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here; the Lord is sending me on to Bethel.” But Elisha replied,“ As the Lord lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said[ unto him, As] the LORD liveth, and[ as] thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.

Elijah told Elisha,“ Stay here, for the LORD has sent me to Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ As certainly as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

Elijah said to him,“ Please wait here, for Yahweh has sent me to the Jordan.” He said,“ As Yahweh lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” Then they both went on.

The child’s mother said,“ As Yahweh lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” So he arose, and followed her.

She said,“ Oh, my lord, as your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood by you here, praying to Yahweh.

Elijah said to him,“ Elisha, please wait here, for Yahweh has sent me to Jericho.” He said,“ As Yahweh lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” So they came to Jericho.

Now therefore, my lord, as Yahweh lives, and as your soul lives, since Yahweh has withheld you from blood guiltiness, and from avenging yourself with your own hand, now therefore let your enemies, and those who seek evil to my lord, be as Nabal.

and you will swear,‘ As Yahweh lives,’ in truth, in justice, and in righteousness. The nations will bless themselves in him, and they will glory in him.”

He called the name of that place Bethel, but the name of the city was Luz at the first.

She said,“ Behold, your sister- in- law has gone back to her people and to her god. Follow your sister- in- law.”Ruth said,“ Don’t urge me to leave you, and to return from following you, for where you go, I will go; and where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people, and your God my God.Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May Yahweh do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me.”When Naomi saw that she was determined to go with her, she stopped urging her.

He set the one in Bethel, and the other he put in Dan.

He went up to the altar which he had made in Bethel on the fifteenth day in the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised of his own heart; and he ordained a feast for the children of Israel, and went up to the altar, to burn incense.Behold, a man of God came out of Judah by Yahweh’s word to Bethel; and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.He cried against the altar by Yahweh’s word, and said,“ Altar! Altar! Yahweh says:‘ Behold, a son will be born to David’s house, Josiah by name. On you he will sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and they will burn men’s bones on you.’”

Then the king said to Ittai the Gittite,“ Why do you also go with us? Return, and stay with the king; for you are a foreigner, and also an exile. Return to your own place.Whereas you came but yesterday, should I today make you go up and down with us, since I go where I may? Return, and take back your brothers. Mercy and truth be with you.”Ittai answered the king, and said,“ As Yahweh lives, and as my lord the king lives, surely in what place my lord the king is, whether for death or for life, your servant will be there also.”

Jesus said therefore to the twelve,“ You don’t also want to go away, do you?”Simon Peter answered him,“ Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life.

When Saul saw David go out against the Philistine, he said to Abner, the captain of the army,“ Abner, whose son is this youth?” Abner said,“ As your soul lives, O king, I can’t tell.”

They went out from us, but they didn’t belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have continued with us. But they left, that they might be revealed that none of them belong to us.
