And Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here please, for the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ As surely as the Lord lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

以利亞告以利沙曰、耶和華使我往伯特利、汝可待此。以利沙曰、我指耶和華而誓、亦指爾生命以誓、我不離爾。乃偕往伯特利。

以利亞謂以利沙曰、主遣我往伯特利、爾且待此、以利沙曰、我指永生主而誓、亦指爾之生命而誓、我不離爾、於是二人下伯特利、

Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here; the Lord has sent me to Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ As surely as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here. The Lord has sent me to Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ I won’t leave you. And that’s just as sure as the Lord and you are alive.” So they went down to Bethel.

And Elijah said to Elisha,“ Please stay here, for the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

And Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here, for the Lord has told me to go to Bethel.” But Elisha replied,“ As surely as the Lord lives and you yourself live, I will never leave you!” So they went down together to Bethel.

and Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here; the LORD is sending me on to Bethel.” But Elisha replied,“ As the LORD lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

Then Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here, please, for the Lord has sent me on to Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!” So they went down to Bethel.

And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for Jehovah hath sent me as far as Beth- el. And Elisha said, As Jehovah liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth- el.

and Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here; the Lord is sending me on to Bethel.” But Elisha replied,“ As the Lord lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said[ unto him, As] the LORD liveth, and[ as] thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.

Elijah told Elisha,“ Stay here, for the LORD has sent me to Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ As certainly as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

Elijah said to Elisha,“ Please wait here, for Yahweh has sent me as far as Bethel.” Elisha said,“ As Yahweh lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

And Elijah said to him,“ Please stay here, for the Lord has sent me to the Jordan.” But he said,“ As surely as the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So the two of them went on.

The mother of the boy said,“ As surely as the Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So he got up and followed her.

And she said,“ Pardon me, my lord! As your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood here beside you, praying to the Lord.

And Elijah said to him,“ Elisha, please stay here, for the Lord has sent me to Jericho.” But he said,“ As surely as the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they came to Jericho.

“ Now then, my lord, as the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, since the Lord has restrained you from shedding blood, and from avenging yourself by your own hand, now then, may your enemies and those who seek evil against my lord, be like Nabal.

And if you will swear,‘ As the Lord lives,’ In truth, in justice, and in righteousness; Then the nations will bless themselves in Him, And in Him they will boast.”

Then he named that place Bethel; but previously the name of the city had been Luz.

Then she said,“ Behold, your sister in law has gone back to her people and her gods; return after your sister in law.”But Ruth said,“ Do not plead with me to leave you or to turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you sleep, I will sleep. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God.Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord do so to me, and worse, if anything but death separates me from you.”When she saw that she was determined to go with her, she stopped speaking to her about it.

And he set up one in Bethel, and the other he put in Dan.

Then he went up to the altar which he had made in Bethel on the fifteenth day in the eighth month, the month that he had devised in his own heart; and he instituted a feast for the sons of Israel and went up to the altar to burn incense.Now behold, a man of God came from Judah to Bethel by the word of the Lord, while Jeroboam was standing at the altar to burn incense.And he cried out against the altar by the word of the Lord and said,“ Altar, altar, this is what the Lord says:‘ Behold, a son shall be born to the house of David, Josiah by name; and on you he shall sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and human bones shall burn on you.’ ”

Then the king said to Ittai the Gittite,“ Why should you go with us too? Return and stay with your king, since you are a foreigner and an exile as well; return to your own place.You came only yesterday, so should I make you wander with us today, while I go wherever I go? Return and take your brothers back; mercy and truth be with you.”But Ittai answered the king and said,“ As the Lord lives, and as my lord the king lives, wherever my lord the king may be, whether for death or for life, there assuredly shall your servant be!”

So Jesus said to the twelve,“ You do not want to leave also, do you?”Simon Peter answered Him,“ Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.

Now when Saul had seen David going out against the Philistine, he said to Abner the commander of the army,“ Abner, whose son is this young man?” And Abner said,“ By your life, O king, I do not know.”

They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be evident that they all are not of us.
