Isaiah said to them,“ Tell your master this:‘ Yahweh says,“ Don’t be afraid of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.

以賽亞對他們說：“你們要這樣告訴你們的主人：‘耶和華這樣說：不要因你所聽見亞述王的隨從褻瀆我的話而驚怕。

以賽亞對他們說：『要這樣對你們的主上說：「永恆主這麼說：你不要因所聽見亞述王僮僕褻瀆我的話來懼怕。

以賽亞謂之曰、其告爾主曰、耶和華云、爾聞亞述王臣僕侮我之言、勿懼、

以賽亞曰、當告爾主、耶和華云、爾聞亞述王使臣侮我之言、毋畏、

以賽亞謂之曰、爾返造爾主王曰、主如是云、爾聞亞述王之臣僕褻瀆我、勿因其言而懼、

Isaiah said to them,“ Tell your master,‘ This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid of what you have heard— those words with which the underlings of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.

Then Isaiah said to them,“ Tell your master,‘ The Lord says,“ Do not be afraid of what you have heard. The officers of the king of Assyria have spoken evil things against me.

Isaiah said to them,“ Say to your master,‘ Thus says the Lord: Do not be afraid because of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have reviled me.

the prophet replied,“ Say to your master,‘ This is what the Lord says: Do not be disturbed by this blasphemous speech against me from the Assyrian king’s messengers.

who said to them,“ Tell your master,‘ The LORD says this: Don’t be afraid because of the words you have heard, with which the king of Assyria’s attendants have blasphemed me.

And Isaiah said to them,“ This is what you shall say to your master:‘ The Lord says this:“ Do not be fearful because of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me.

And Isaiah said to them,“ Thus you shall say to your master,‘ Thus says the Lord:“ Do not be afraid of the words which you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me.

And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say to your master, Thus saith Jehovah, Be not afraid of the words that thou hast heard, wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.

who said to them,“ Tell your master this,‘ The Lord says: Don’t be afraid because of the words you have heard, that the king of Assyria’s attendants have blasphemed Me with.

And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say to your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not afraid of the words which thou hast heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.

Isaiah said to them,“ Tell your master this:‘ This is what the LORD says:“ Don’t be afraid because of the things you have heard– these insults the king of Assyria’s servants have hurled against me.

Who are they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of my hand, that Yahweh should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?’”

The king of Assyria sent Tartan and Rabsaris and Rabshakeh from Lachish to king Hezekiah with a great army to Jerusalem. They went up and came to Jerusalem. When they had come up, they came and stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which is in the highway of the fuller’s field.

and shall tell them,“ Hear, Israel, you draw near today to battle against your enemies. Don’t let your heart faint! Don’t be afraid, nor tremble, neither be scared of them;for Yahweh your God is he who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.”

Moses said to the people,“ Don’t be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of Yahweh, which he will work for you today; for you will never again see the Egyptians whom you have seen today.

“ Listen to me, you who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law. Don’t fear the reproach of men, and don’t be dismayed at their insults.

When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses, chariots, and a people more numerous than you, you shall not be afraid of them; for Yahweh your God is with you, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.

Yahweh said to Joshua,“ Don’t be afraid because of them; for tomorrow at this time, I will deliver them up all slain before Israel. You shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.”

He answered,“ Don’t be afraid; for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

Isaiah said to them,“ Tell your master,‘ Yahweh says,“ Don’t be afraid of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.Behold, I will put a spirit in him and he will hear news, and will return to his own land. I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.”’”So Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah, for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.He heard news concerning Tirhakah king of Ethiopia,“ He has come out to fight against you.” When he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying,“ Thus you shall speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying,‘ Don’t let your God in whom you trust deceive you, saying,“ Jerusalem won’t be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.”Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, by destroying them utterly. Shall you be delivered?Have the gods of the nations delivered them, which my fathers have destroyed, Gozan, Haran, Rezeph, and the children of Eden who were in Telassar?Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivvah?’”Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers and read it. Then Hezekiah went up to Yahweh’s house, and spread it before Yahweh.Hezekiah prayed to Yahweh, saying,“ Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, who is enthroned among the cherubim, you are the God, even you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.Turn your ear, Yahweh, and hear. Open your eyes, Yahweh, and behold. Hear all of the words of Sennacherib, who has sent to defy the living God.Truly, Yahweh, the kings of Assyria have destroyed all the countries and their land,and have cast their gods into the fire; for they were no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone; therefore they have destroyed them.Now therefore, Yahweh our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you are Yahweh, even you only.”Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying,“ Yahweh, the God of Israel says,‘ Because you have prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria,this is the word which Yahweh has spoken concerning him. The virgin daughter of Zion has despised you and ridiculed you. The daughter of Jerusalem has shaken her head at you.Whom have you defied and blasphemed? Against whom have you exalted your voice and lifted up your eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Israel.By your servants, you have defied the Lord, and have said,“ With the multitude of my chariots I have come up to the height of the mountains, to the innermost parts of Lebanon. I will cut down its tall cedars and its choice cypress trees. I will enter into its farthest height, the forest of its fruitful field.I have dug and drunk water, and with the sole of my feet I will dry up all the rivers of Egypt.”“‘ Have you not heard how I have done it long ago, and formed it in ancient times? Now I have brought it to pass, that it should be yours to destroy fortified cities, turning them into ruinous heaps.Therefore their inhabitants had little power. They were dismayed and confounded. They were like the grass of the field, and like the green herb, like the grass on the housetops, and like a field before its crop has grown.But I know your sitting down, your going out, your coming in, and your raging against me.Because of your raging against me, and because your arrogance has come up into my ears, therefore I will put my hook in your nose and my bridle in your lips, and I will turn you back by the way by which you came.“‘ This shall be the sign to you. You will eat this year that which grows of itself, and in the second year that which springs from it; and in the third year sow and reap and plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.The remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah will again take root downward, and bear fruit upward.For out of Jerusalem a remnant will go out, and survivors will escape from Mount Zion. The zeal of Yahweh of Armies will perform this.’“ Therefore Yahweh says concerning the king of Assyria,‘ He will not come to this city, nor shoot an arrow there, neither will he come before it with shield, nor cast up a mound against it.He will return the way that he came, and he won’t come to this city,’ says Yahweh.‘ For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.’”Then Yahweh’s angel went out and struck one hundred and eighty- five thousand men in the camp of the Assyrians. When men arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, went away, returned to Nineveh, and stayed there.As he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons struck him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Ararat. Esar Haddon his son reigned in his place.

Don’t forget the voice of your adversaries. The tumult of those who rise up against you ascends continually.

Don’t let Hezekiah make you trust in Yahweh, saying,“ Yahweh will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.”

Remember this, that the enemy has mocked you, Yahweh. Foolish people have blasphemed your name.

and he said,“ Listen, all Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, king Jehoshaphat. Yahweh says to you,‘ Don’t be afraid, and don’t be dismayed because of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

You will not need to fight this battle. Set yourselves, stand still, and see the salvation of Yahweh with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Don’t be afraid, nor be dismayed. Go out against them tomorrow, for Yahweh is with you.’”

Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand; and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

But if you tell me,‘ We trust in Yahweh our God;’ isn’t that he whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah has taken away, and has said to Judah and to Jerusalem,‘ You shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem?’Now therefore, please give pledges to my master the king of Assyria, and I will give you two thousand horses, if you are able on your part to set riders on them.How then can you turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put your trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?Have I now come up without Yahweh against this place to destroy it? Yahweh said to me,‘ Go up against this land, and destroy it.’”’”

He opened his mouth for blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his dwelling, those who dwell in heaven.

“ I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die, and of the son of man who will be made as grass?Have you forgotten Yahweh your Maker, who stretched out the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth? Do you live in fear continually all day because of the fury of the oppressor, when he prepares to destroy? Where is the fury of the oppressor?

Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.Behold, all those who are incensed against you will be disappointed and confounded. Those who strive with you will be like nothing, and shall perish.You will seek them, and won’t find them, even those who contend with you. Those who war against you will be as nothing, as a non- existent thing.For I, Yahweh your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you,‘ Don’t be afraid. I will help you.’Don’t be afraid, you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel. I will help you,” says Yahweh.“ Your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.
