They said to him,“ Thus says Hezekiah, This day is a day of distress, of rebuke, and of disgrace; children have come to the point of birth, and there is no strength to bring them forth.

他们对他说：“希西家这样说：‘今天是痛苦、责罚和侮辱的日子，好像婴儿的产期到了，却没有力量生产。

對他說：「希西家如此說：『今日是急難、責罰、凌辱的日子，就如婦人將要生產嬰孩，卻沒有力量生產。

他們對他說：「希西家如此說：『今日是急難、懲罰、凌辱的日子，就如嬰孩快要出生，卻沒有力氣生產。

他們對他說：「希西家如此說：『今日是急難、懲罰、凌辱的日子，就如嬰孩快要出生，卻沒有力氣生產。

對他說：「希西迦說，『今天是遭難、蒙羞、受辱的日子，就像嬰兒要出生，產婦卻無力生產一樣。

他們對他說：“希西家這樣說：‘今天是痛苦、責罰和侮辱的日子，好像嬰兒的產期到了，卻沒有力量生產。

對他說：『希西家這麼說：「今日是有急難、受責罰、受侮慢的日子；就如嬰兒臨到生產的關頭，卻沒有力量生出來。

謂之曰、希西家云、今乃急難譴責羞辱之日、子臨產、而無力出之、

曰、希西家云、今日我遘患難、有譴責我、欺蔑我者、若婦當產而無力、

曰、希西家如是云、今日乃急難禍患禍患或作譴責羞辱羞辱或作褻瀆之日、若婦將分娩、而無力生子、

They told him,“ This is what Hezekiah says: This day is a day of distress and rebuke and disgrace, as when children come to the moment of birth and there is no strength to deliver them.

They told Isaiah,“ Hezekiah says,‘ Today we’re in great trouble. The Lord is warning us. He’s bringing shame on us. Sometimes babies come to the moment when they should be born. But their mothers aren’t strong enough to allow them to be born. Today we are like those mothers. We aren’t strong enough to save ourselves.

They told him,“ This is what King Hezekiah says: Today is a day of trouble, insults, and disgrace. It is like when a child is ready to be born, but the mother has no strength to deliver the baby.

They said to him,“ This is what Hezekiah says:‘ Today is a day of distress, rebuke, and disgrace, for children have come to the point of birth, but there is no strength to deliver them.

And they said to him,“ This is what Hezekiah says:‘ This day is a day of distress, rebuke, and humiliation; for children have come to the point of birth, and there is no strength to deliver them.

And they said to him,“ Thus says Hezekiah:‘ This day is a day of trouble, and rebuke, and blasphemy; for the children have come to birth, but there is no strength to bring them forth.

And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of contumely; for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.

They said to him,“ This is what Hezekiah says:‘ Today is a day of distress, rebuke, and disgrace, for children have come to the point of birth, but there is no strength to deliver them.

And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day[ is] a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and[ there is] not strength to bring forth.

“ This is what Hezekiah says:‘ This is a day of distress, insults, and humiliation, as when a baby is ready to leave the birth canal, but the mother lacks the strength to push it through.

They said to him,“ Hezekiah says,‘ Today is a day of trouble, of rebuke, and of rejection; for the children have come to the point of birth, and there is no strength to deliver them.

When you discipline a man with rebukes for sin, you consume like a moth what is dear to him; surely all mankind is a mere breath! Selah

“ Thus says the Lord: We have heard a cry of panic, of terror, and no peace.Ask now, and see, can a man bear a child? Why then do I see every man with his hands on his stomach like a woman in labor? Why has every face turned pale?Alas! That day is so great there is none like it; it is a time of distress for Jacob; yet he shall be saved out of it.

The pangs of childbirth come for him, but he is an unwise son, for at the right time he does not present himself at the opening of the womb.

Like a pregnant woman who writhes and cries out in her pangs when she is near to giving birth, so were we because of you, O Lord;we were pregnant, we writhed, but we have given birth to wind. We have accomplished no deliverance in the earth, and the inhabitants of the world have not fallen.

Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us, for we have had more than enough of contempt.Our soul has had more than enough of the scorn of those who are at ease, of the contempt of the proud.

Thus says the king:‘ Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you out of my hand.

As it is said,“ Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”For who were those who heard and yet rebelled? Was it not all those who left Egypt led by Moses?

Shall I bring to the point of birth and not cause to bring forth?” says the Lord;“ shall I, who cause to bring forth, shut the womb?” says your God.

I will return again to my place, until they acknowledge their guilt and seek my face, and in their distress earnestly seek me.“ Come, let us return to the Lord; for he has torn us, that he may heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bind us up.

do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as on the day at Massah in the wilderness,
