He sent Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the secretary and the leading priests, all wearing sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz.

Hezekiah sent Eliakim, who was in charge of the palace, to Isaiah the prophet. Isaiah was the son of Amoz. Hezekiah also sent to Isaiah the leading priests and Shebna the secretary. All of them were wearing the same rough clothing.

And he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the secretary, and the senior priests, covered with sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz.

And he sent Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the court secretary, and the leading priests, all dressed in burlap, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz.

爾往、為我、為民、為猶大全族、因此書之言問於主、我列祖不聽從此書之言、不遵此書所載一切諭我之命而行、主之烈怒、必向我如火之烈、有女先知戶勒大、乃掌禮服者、哈珥哈斯孫特瓦子、沙龍之妻、居耶路撒冷第二城中、祭司希勒家、亞希甘、亞革博、沙番、亞撒雅、咸往見之、與之語、

遣家宰以利雅敬、繕寫舍伯拿、及祭司之長老、俱衣麻、往見亞摩斯子先知以賽亞、曰、希西家如是云、今日乃急難禍患禍患或作譴責羞辱羞辱或作褻瀆之日、若婦將分娩、而無力以產、亞述王遣拉伯沙基毀謗永生天主、主爾之天主、或聞其言而加以譴責、求爾為此尚存之餘民祈禱、希西家王之臣僕、至以賽亞前、

如先知以賽亞書載云、野有聲呼曰、備主道、直其徑、

烏西雅其餘之事、自始至終、為亞摩斯子先知以賽亞所記、

為應先知以賽亞之言云、

呼王時、有家宰希勒家子以利雅敬、繕寫舍伯那、史官亞薩子約亞、俱出而見之、
