當時未建宮殿、以籲耶和華名、故民在崇邱獻祭。所羅門愛耶和華、遵父大闢所立之禮儀而行、惟獻祭焚香於崇邱。此大闢所未行也。

從父亞撒所為、不背厥道、行善於耶和華前、惟崇坵猶不廢、民尚在彼獻祭焚香。

邑眾夙興、見巴力之壇已傾、在旁之偶已斫、七歲之牛已獻於新築壇上。

必摧其壇、毀其像、斫其偶、所雕刻之形、燬之以火、爾之待彼必如是。

驅孌童於斯土、毀父所作之偶像。祖母馬迦於林間立偶像、故貶其太后之位、斫其所奉之像、焚於汲淪溪旁。所有崇邱、雖猶不廢、然誠心從耶和華以畢其生、

迨夕、耶和華諭之曰、取爾父之犢、其外更備一牛、必盈七歲者、爾父所築巴力之壇、爾必摧之、並斫其旁之偶像。

彼所奉事之上帝、爾勿崇拜、彼所作為、爾毋則傚、當摧其偶、毀其像。

抑爾言恃爾上帝耶和華、何希西家廢其崇坵、去其祭壇、命猶大及耶路撒冷之民、惟在耶路撒冷壇前崇拜乎。

惟崇坵猶不廢、民仍焚香獻祭於其上。

昔摩西舉蛇於野、人子見舉亦然、使信之者免沉淪而得永生、○

命祭司烏哩亞曰、朝之燔祭、夕之禮物、王與兆民所獻之燔祭禮物、酒以灌奠、俱必獻於大壇、燔祭及禮物之血灑於其上、惟此銅壇、我用以諮諏上帝。

然爾於斯土毀偶像、誠心崇上帝、猶可為善。○

厥父希西家曾毀崇坵、馬拿西築之、且築祭壇、立偶像、服事巴力、崇拜天象、

惟崇邱猶不廢、民仍獻祭焚香於其上。

惟崇坵猶不廢、民仍獻祭焚香於其上、約擔建耶和華殿之崇門。

我導之入迦南、踐我誓言、彼見高巒茂林、遂獻祭奉禮、焚香灌奠、干我震怒。我雖責之曰、臨登崇坵奚為、迄今民登崇坵、不易其俗。

崇邱猶在、民獻祭焚香於其上、

王命祭司長希勒家、及祭司之次者、暨閽人、取所奉巴力亞大綠及天象之器皿、出耶和華殿、燬於耶路撒冷外、汲淪田間、攜其灰至伯特利。
