前者亞述王、為利巴嫩之香柏、枝柯繁美、其蔭濃密、其榦崇高、其杪入雲、有水養之、有淵長之、支流四出、灌溉田間諸木、惟此香柏、超於田間諸木、因得水澤、生枝既繁、發條且長、飛鳥結巢於其枝、野獸生子於其下、大國之民、居於其蔭、根盤水濱、故榦巨枝長、其形榮美、上帝囿之香柏、不能蔽之、松樹不及其枝、楓樹不及其柯、上帝囿中諸木、不得與之媲美、我使其枝繁盛、因而榮美、致上帝囿伊甸諸木、咸嫉妒之、主耶和華曰、因其崇高、其杪入雲、心志驕泰、

耶和華至高、有威可畏、乃全地之大君兮、

主耶和華云、埃及王法老乎、我為爾敵、爾乃巨鱷、臥於河中、自謂河為我有、我為己造之、

我又聞若羣眾之聲、眾水之聲、大雷之聲、曰、哈利路亞、蓋主我上帝全能者王矣、

其臣以猶大方言、高聲呼耶路撒冷城上之民、欲驚擾之、以取其城、

拉伯沙基遂立、用猶大方言、大聲呼曰、爾曹其聽大王亞述王之言、王曰、勿為希西家所欺、彼不能救爾、勿聽希西家使爾恃耶和華曰耶和華必救我、此城必不付於亞述王手、勿聽希西家、蓋亞述王曰、爾當與我修好、出而降我、則可各食己之葡萄、及無花果、各飲己井之水、迨我來遷爾至一地、如爾故土、有穀有酒、有食品、有葡萄園、爾其慎之、免受希西家之勸曰、耶和華必救我儕也、夫列邦之神、有一曾拯其國、脫於亞述王手乎、
