你行淫乱岂是小事，竟将我的儿女杀了，使他们经火归与他吗？

你没有效法她们的行为，也没有照她们可憎的事去做，你以那为小事，你一切所行的倒比她们更坏。

又污秽欣嫩子谷的陀斐特，不许人在那里使儿女经火献给摩洛；

犯了尼八的儿子耶罗波安所犯的罪；他还以为轻，又娶了西顿王谒巴力的女儿耶洗别为妻，去侍奉敬拜巴力，在撒玛利亚建造巴力的庙，在庙里为巴力筑坛。亚哈又做亚舍拉，他所行的惹耶和华以色列神的怒气，比他以前的以色列诸王更甚。

他行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，效法他的父母，又行尼八的儿子耶罗波安使以色列人陷在罪里的事。他照他父亲一切所行的，侍奉敬拜巴力，惹耶和华以色列神的怒气。

他们在欣嫩子谷建筑巴力的邱坛，好使自己的儿女经火归摩洛；他们行这可憎的事，使犹大陷在罪里，这并不是我所吩咐的，也不是我心所起的意。”

耶罗波安王就筹划定妥，铸造了两个金牛犊，对众民说：“以色列人哪，你们上耶路撒冷去实在是难；这就是领你们出埃及地的神。”他就把牛犊一只安在伯特利，一只安在但。这事叫百姓陷在罪里，因为他们往但去拜那牛犊。

“你还要晓谕以色列人说：凡以色列人，或是在以色列中寄居的外人，把自己的儿女献给摩洛的，总要治死他；本地人要用石头把他打死。

你们奉上供物使你们儿子经火的时候，仍将一切偶像玷污自己，直到今日吗？以色列家啊，我岂被你们求问吗？主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓，我必不被你们求问。
