當猶大王烏西雅孫約坦子亞哈斯時、亞蘭王利汛、與以色列王利瑪利子比加、來攻耶路撒冷、惟不能克、或告大衛家曰、亞蘭人與以法蓮人結盟偕來、亞哈斯王與其民甚懼、心搖搖如林木見搖於風、主諭以賽亞曰、爾與子施亞雅述、往迓亞哈斯在上沼之引水溝頭、濯衣者濯衣者或作漂布工田之道側、告之曰、爾當謹慎安靜、勿畏葸、利汛與亞蘭、並利瑪利子發烈怒、亦不過二火炬之餘燼、僅有微煙、爾勿因之喪膽、亞蘭與以法蓮、及利瑪利子、立謀傾害爾、曰、我儕盍往猶大、圍困其城、破而取之、在其中立他比勒子為王、主天主如是云、此謀必不立、必不成、大瑪色僅亞蘭之首、首或作都利汛僅大瑪色之首、首或作王撒瑪利亞僅以法蓮之首、首或作都利瑪利子僅撒瑪利亞之首、首或作王六十五年之內、以法蓮必敗、不再成國、如爾不信、亦不得堅立、亦不得堅立或作亦不能恆存
