Amaziah, however, would not listen, so Jehoash king of Israel attacked. He and Amaziah king of Judah faced each other at Beth Shemesh in Judah.

But Amaziah wouldn’t listen. So Jehoash, the king of Israel, attacked. He and Amaziah, the king of Judah, faced each other in battle. The battle took place at Beth Shemesh in Judah.

But Amaziah would not listen. So Jehoash king of Israel went up, and he and Amaziah king of Judah faced one another in battle at Beth-shemesh, which belongs to Judah.

But Amaziah refused to listen, so King Jehoash of Israel mobilized his army against King Amaziah of Judah. The two armies drew up their battle lines at Beth shemesh in Judah.

But Amaziah would not listen, so King Jehoash of Israel advanced. He and King Amaziah of Judah met face to face at Beth-shemesh that belonged to Judah.

But Amaziah would not heed the warning, so King Jehoash of Israel attacked. He and King Amaziah of Judah met face to face in Beth Shemesh of Judah.

But Amaziah would not listen. So Jehoash king of Israel went up; and he and Amaziah king of Judah looked one another in the face at Beth Shemesh, which belongs to Judah.

以崙、密大利、何憐、伯亞納、伯示麥、共十九邑、與其鄉里。

亞馬謝之弗聽、皆出上帝意、因彼宗事以東人上帝、將使彼為敵所敗。

亞因與其郊、若大與其郊、伯示麥與其郊、斯二支派所給者、共九邑。

請試觀之、如車由伯示麥道、向其境而遄征、則降大災者、實由耶和華、否則可知擊我眾者、非出其手、乃偶爾相遇。非利士人、如言而行、取方字之牝牛二、繫之於車、禁犢於室、昇耶和華之匱、與藏金鼠金痔之篋笥、咸載於車。牛直往伯示麥道、行由通衢、且行且鳴、不偏於左、不偏於右。非利士人伯從之、至伯示麥界。伯示麥人、在谷刈麥、遙而望之、見匱甚悅。車至伯示麥人約書亞田而止。田有巨石、人劈車為柴、獻牛為燔祭、奉事耶和華。利未人取耶和華之匱、藏金之篋笥、置於巨石、是日伯示麥人獻燔祭、及酬恩祭、奉於耶和華。非利士人五伯見此、即反以革倫。非利士人獻金痔於耶和華、為補過之祭者、其數臚列如左、亞實突、迦薩、亞實基倫、迦特、以革倫、各獻其一。非利士人之五伯、轄諸邑垣、與其鄉里、延及巨石之所、各獻金鼠一、循其邑數、巨石在伯示麥人約書亞田、昔置耶和華匱之地、至今猶存。伯示麥人窺耶和華之匱、為所擊者、七十人、時有五萬人在彼、見耶和華降大災、則號哭不勝。

環繞把拉向西、至西耳山、延至耶林山旁、即基撒倫北、下至伯示麥、及亭拿。

言時、王阻之、曰、爾非言官、諫我奚為、獨不畏罪乎。先知不敢復諫、曰、爾弗聽從、我知上帝必敗爾。
