惟耶和華因與亞伯拉罕以撒雅各所立之約、施恩矜恤之、眷顧之、尚不滅之、不逐之於其前、

耶和華念與亞伯拉罕以撒雅各所立之約、故待以色列族仁慈矜恤、不欲盡滅、驅於其前。

But the Lord was gracious to them and had compassion and showed concern for them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. To this day he has been unwilling to destroy them or banish them from his presence.

But the Lord helped Israel. He was tender and kind to them. He showed concern for them. He did all these things because of the covenant he had made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. To this day he hasn’t been willing to destroy Israel. And he hasn’t driven them out of his land.

But the Lord was gracious to them and had compassion on them, and he turned toward them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, nor has he cast them from his presence until now.

But the Lord was gracious and merciful to the people of Israel, and they were not totally destroyed. He pitied them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And to this day he still has not completely destroyed them or banished them from his presence.

But Yahweh was gracious to them, and had compassion on them, and had respect for them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, and he didn’t cast them from his presence as yet.

民曰、天主歟、何神能比主、主之遺民、主之遺民原文作主業之遺餘者有愆尤罪惡、主乃赦宥之、主以矜憫為悅、不恆懷怒、主必復矜憫我、除我愆尤、以民之諸罪、投諸深淵、主必循在古時與我列祖所立之誓、將施誠實於雅各、加恩惠於亞伯拉罕、

主尚未言欲滅以色列於天下、故藉約阿施子耶羅波安救之、

我必使爾後裔多如地之塵沙然、若人能核數地之塵沙、則爾之後裔亦可核數、爾起、縱橫遍行此地、我必以之賜爾、

但求主我之天主、垂念主之僕禱告祈求、垂聽主之僕今日於主前呼籲祈禱之言、

西底家叛巴比倫王、蓋主怒耶路撒冷及猶大、欲逐之於其前、

我與爾立約、使爾後裔蕃衍昌熾、亞伯蘭俯伏於地、天主又諭之曰、我與爾立約、使爾為多族之祖、今而後爾名不復稱亞伯蘭、乃稱亞伯拉罕、亞伯拉罕譯即多族之祖之義因我使爾為多族之祖故也、

主甚怒以色列人、逐於其前、所留者惟猶大一支派而已、

天主聞其哀號、追念昔與亞伯拉罕以撒雅各所立之約、天主眷顧以色列人、特垂念之、

矜恤我祖、念其聖約、即與我祖亞伯拉罕所矢之誓、

雖然、主仍俟焉、欲賜恩於爾、勃然而興、矜憐爾、蓋主乃施仁行義之天主、凡仰望主者、即為有福、惟爾居郇與居耶路撒冷之民、不復哭泣、爾以聲呼籲主、主必賜恩於爾、主聞之即應爾、

惟主大發矜憐、不盡滅之、不盡棄之、因主乃仁慈矜憐之天主、我至大至能至可畏踐約施恩之天主歟、凡我列王、牧伯、祭司、先知、列祖、及主之民眾、自亞述列王之時、至於今日、所遭之患難、求主莫以為不足、

主曰、人既為肉體、我之神不恆居於其內、或作我之神不永與之爭姑容其一百二十年、或作以後其壽命至一百二十年

遂從其中除外邦之神、而奉事主、主因以色列人困苦已極、中心不忍、

又曰、我乃爾父之天主、亞伯拉罕之天主、以撒之天主、雅各之天主、摩西蔽面、不敢觀天主、主曰、我民居伊及、我見其苦、因受督役者虐待而號呼、已聞於我、我知其憂、

拔之之後、我復加以矜憫、使之各歸其業、各歸故土、

莫逐我離於主面、莫從我收回主之聖神、

我將與爾及爾歷代子孫立我約、以為永約、必為爾之天主、亦為爾後裔之天主、必以爾所居之地、即迦南全地、賜爾及爾後裔、永為世業、我亦為其天主、

主曰、我必以我之諸德顯於爾前、在爾前宣告我耶和華之名、使爾知我欲恩待者則恩待之、我欲憐憫者則憐憫之、

主見己民無力可恃、自主及僕自主及僕或作成人幼穉俱已消亡、則必為民伸冤、亦復矜恤其僕、或作則必為其民而伸冤為其僕而回志

主經行摩西前宣告曰、耶和華乃自有之主、乃矜憐慈愛容忍、大施恩惠、大有誠實之天主、施恩於人、直至千世、或作施恩於千萬人赦愆尤過失罪惡、惟罪當罰者、斷無不罰、為父之罪、罰子孫至三四代、

求主憶念主之僕亞伯拉罕以撒以色列、昔主指己而與之誓云、我必使爾後裔如天星之多、所許之全地、必賜爾後裔以為永業、於是主悔其前言、或作轉怒回瞋不降所言之禍於己民、

彼必受刑、永遠沈淪、離主之面及其大能之榮光、

惟主乃矜憐慈愛容忍之天主、大施恩惠、大有誠實、

則我必追憶與雅各所立之約、亦追憶與以撒亞伯拉罕所立之約、而俯念斯地、

扶持其僕以色列、垂念矜恤亞伯拉罕及其苗裔、至於世世、如昔諭我祖之言、

雖使人懷憂、必憑大仁慈、加以矜恤、

永遠記念所立之約、所定之命、萬世不忘、

又謂在左者曰、爾曹被詛者、可離我而入永火、乃為魔及其使者所備也、
