So King Jehoash called Jehoiada the priest and the other priests, and said to them,“ Why have you not repaired the damages of the temple? Now therefore, do not take more money from your constituency, but deliver it for repairing the damages of the temple.”

所以约阿施王召了大祭司耶何耶大和众祭司来，对他们说：“你们怎么不修理殿的破坏之处呢？从今以后，你们不要从所认识的人再收银子，要将所收的交出来，修理殿的破坏之处。”

所以约阿施王召了耶何耶大祭司和众祭司来，对他们说：“你们怎么不修理殿的破坏之处呢？现在，不要再从认识的人收银子了，但要为了殿的破坏之处，把银子交出来。”

约阿施召来耶何耶大祭司及其他祭司，对他们说：“你们为什么还不修殿呢？不要再向奉献的人收银子了，要把所收的银子交出来修殿。”

于是约阿施王召了耶何耶大祭司和众祭司来，说：“你们为什么不修理圣殿毁坏的地方呢？现在不要向你们熟识的人收取银子，却要把所收的交出来，修理圣殿毁坏的地方。”

所以約阿施王召了大祭司耶何耶大和眾祭司來，對他們說：「你們怎麼不修理殿的破壞之處呢？從今以後，你們不要從所認識的人再收銀子，要將所收的交出來，修理殿的破壞之處。」

於是約阿施王召了耶何耶大祭司和眾祭司來，說：“你們為甚麼不修理聖殿毀壞的地方呢？現在不要向你們熟識的人收取銀子，卻要把所收的交出來，修理聖殿毀壞的地方。”

於是約阿施王把祭司耶何耶大和祭司們召了來，對他們說：『你們怎麼不修理聖殿破壞的地方呢？現在你們不要再從熟識的人收銀子了，乃要將所收的交出來，作修理破壞地方之用。』

故約阿施王召大祭司耶何耶大、與眾祭司、謂之曰、殿宇破壞、胡不修葺、今而後、勿復受相識者之金、宜出此金、修葺殿宇之破壞、

故約轄王召祭司長耶何耶大、與眾祭司、告之曰、殿之所損者、胡為至今猶未修葺、今而後不許爾曹、為修葺殿宇之故、受同宗之金。

故約阿施召大祭司耶何耶大與眾祭司、謂之曰、殿宇破壞之處、爾何不修葺乎、自今以後、勿復受銀於相識者、此銀當用以修葺殿宇破壞之處、

Therefore King Joash summoned Jehoiada the priest and the other priests and asked them,“ Why aren’t you repairing the damage done to the temple? Take no more money from your treasurers, but hand it over for repairing the temple.”

So the king sent for Jehoiada the priest and the other priests. He asked them,“ Why aren’t you repairing the temple where it needs it? Don’t take any more money from the people in charge of the treasures. Instead, hand it over so the temple can be repaired.”

Therefore King Jehoash summoned Jehoiada the priest and the other priests and said to them,“ Why are you not repairing the house? Now therefore take no more money from your donors, but hand it over for the repair of the house.”

So King Joash called for Jehoiada and the other priests and asked them,“ Why haven’t you repaired the Temple? Don’t use any more money for your own needs. From now on, it must all be spent on Temple repairs.”

So King Joash called the priest Jehoiada and the other priests and asked,“ Why haven’t you repaired the temple’s damage? Since you haven’t, don’t take any silver from your assessors; instead, hand it over for the repair of the temple.”

So King Jehoash summoned Jehoiada the priest, and the other priests, and said to them,“ Why do you not repair damage to the house? Now then, you are not to take any more money from your acquaintances, but give it up for the damage to the house.”

Then king Jehoash called for Jehoiada the priest, and for the other priests, and said unto them, Why repair ye not the breaches of the house? now therefore take no more money from your acquaintance, but deliver it for the breaches of the house.

So King Joash called Jehoiada the priest and the other priests and said,“ Why haven’t you repaired the temple’s damage? Since you haven’t, don’t take any money from your assessors; instead, hand it over for the repair of the temple.”

Then king Jehoash called for Jehoiada the priest, and the[ other] priests, and said unto them, Why repair ye not the breaches of the house? now therefore receive no[ more] money of your acquaintance, but deliver it for the breaches of the house.

So King Jehoash summoned Jehoiada the priest along with the other priests, and said to them,“ Why have you not repaired the damage to the temple? Now, take no more silver from your treasurers unless you intend to use it to repair the damage.”

Then king Jehoash called for Jehoiada the priest, and for the other priests, and said to them,“ Why don’t you repair the damage to the house? Now therefore take no more money from your treasurers, but deliver it for repair of the damage to the house.”

And they buried him in the City of David among the kings, because he had done good in Israel, both toward God and His house.

Jehoash did what was right in the sight of the Lord all the days in which Jehoiada the priest instructed him.

In the seventh year Jehoiada strengthened himself, and made a covenant with the captains of hundreds: Azariah the son of Jeroham, Ishmael the son of Jehohanan, Azariah the son of Obed, Maaseiah the son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat the son of Zichri.

In the seventh year Jehoiada sent and brought the captains of hundreds— of the bodyguards and the escorts— and brought them into the house of the Lord to him. And he made a covenant with them and took an oath from them in the house of the Lord, and showed them the king’s son.

And Joab answered,“ May the Lord make His people a hundred times more than they are. But, my Lord the king, are they not all my lord’s servants? Why then does my Lord require this thing? Why should he be a cause of guilt in Israel?”

Then he gathered the priests and the Levites, and said to them,“ Go out to the cities of Judah, and gather from all Israel money to repair the house of your God from year to year, and see that you do it quickly.” However the Levites did not do it quickly.So the king called Jehoiada the chief priest, and said to him,“ Why have you not required the Levites to bring in from Judah and from Jerusalem the collection, according to the commandment of Moses the servant of the Lord and of the assembly of Israel, for the tabernacle of witness?”For the sons of Athaliah, that wicked woman, had broken into the house of God, and had also presented all the dedicated things of the house of the Lord to the Baals.Then at the king’s command they made a chest, and set it outside at the gate of the house of the Lord.And they made a proclamation throughout Judah and Jerusalem to bring to the Lord the collection that Moses the servant of God had imposed on Israel in the wilderness.Then all the leaders and all the people rejoiced, brought their contributions, and put them into the chest until all had given.So it was, at that time, when the chest was brought to the king’s official by the hand of the Levites, and when they saw that there was much money, that the king’s scribe and the high priest’s officer came and emptied the chest, and took it and returned it to its place. Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance.The king and Jehoiada gave it to those who did the work of the service of the house of the Lord; and they hired masons and carpenters to repair the house of the Lord, and also those who worked in iron and bronze to restore the house of the Lord.So the workmen labored, and the work was completed by them; they restored the house of God to its original condition and reinforced it.When they had finished, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada; they made from it articles for the house of the Lord, articles for serving and offering, spoons and vessels of gold and silver. And they offered burnt offerings in the house of the Lord continually all the days of Jehoiada.
