命之曰、爾所當行者如是、凡爾安息日來入班者、三分之一當守王宮、

He commanded them, saying,“ This is what you are to do: You who are in the three companies that are going on duty on the Sabbath— a third of you guarding the royal palace,

He gave them a command. He said,“ Here’s what you must do. There are five groups of you. Some of you are in the three groups that are going on duty on the Sabbath day. A third of you must guard the royal palace.

And he commanded them,“ This is the thing that you shall do: one third of you, those who come off duty on the Sabbath and guard the king’s house

Jehoiada told them,“ This is what you must do. A third of you who are on duty on the Sabbath are to guard the royal palace itself.

and commanded them,“ This is what you are to do: A third of you who come on duty on the Sabbath are to provide protection for the king’s palace.

And he commanded them, saying,“ This is the thing that you shall do: a third of you, who come in on the Sabbath and keep watch over the king’s house

Then he commanded them, saying,“ This is what you shall do: One-third of you who come on duty on the Sabbath shall be keeping watch over the king’s house,

And he commanded them, saying, This is the thing that ye shall do: a third part of you, that come in on the sabbath, shall be keepers of the watch of the king’s house;

and commanded them,“ This is what you are to do: a third of you who come on duty on the Sabbath are to provide protection for the king’s palace.

And he commanded them, saying, This[ is] the thing that ye shall do; A third part of you that enter in on the sabbath shall even be keepers of the watch of the king’s house;

He ordered them,“ This is what you must do. One third of the unit that is on duty during the Sabbath will guard the royal palace.

He commanded them, saying,“ This is what you must do: a third of you, who come in on the Sabbath, shall be keepers of the watch of the king’s house;

猶大的首領得知後，就離開王宮，上到耶和華的殿，坐在耶和華殿新門的入口。

凡三十歲以上的利未人都在統計之列，共有三萬八千男子，其中有兩萬四千人在耶和華的殿裡司職，六千人做官長和審判官，四千人守門，四千人用大衛提供的樂器頌讚耶和華。大衛將利未人革順、哥轄和米拉利的子孫分成班次。

有一天，輪到撒迦利亞他們那一班祭司當值，他們按照祭司的規矩抽籤，抽中撒迦利亞到主的殿裡去燒香。

並負責看守會幕和聖所，幫助他們的親族——亞倫的子孫在耶和華的殿裡供職。

耶和華對我說：「這門必須關閉，不可打開。沒有人能從這門進入，因為以色列的上帝耶和華已從這門進入，所以這門必須關閉。只有君王可以坐在裡面，在耶和華面前進食。他要從門廊進入，也要從原路出去。」

在這些日子，君王要從東門穿過門廊通道進入內院，站在門框旁邊。祭司要為他獻燔祭和平安祭。他在入口的門檻那裡敬拜，然後離去。這門要到晚上才關閉。在安息日和朔日，以色列人要站在這門口敬拜耶和華。

為了亞述王，他挪走耶和華殿裡為安息日而蓋的走廊，封閉了王從外面進耶和華殿的入口。

席上的美味、入座的群臣、侍立一旁的僕人及其服裝、酒政以及他在耶和華殿裡獻的燔祭，感到萬分驚奇。

在以利亞撒的子孫撒督和以他瑪的子孫亞希米勒的協助下，大衛將亞倫的子孫分成班次，讓他們各司其職。以利亞撒的子孫中做首領的比以他瑪的子孫中做首領的多，他們被分成班次，以利亞撒的子孫中有十六個族長，以他瑪的子孫中有八個族長。因為以利亞撒的子孫中和以他瑪的子孫中都有人在聖所做首領事奉上帝，他們便用抽籤的方法公平地分班，分別在以利亞撒和以他瑪家族中抽籤。利未人拿坦業的兒子示瑪雅是書記。他在君王、首領、撒督祭司、亞比亞他的兒子亞希米勒、眾祭司和利未人的族長面前把抽出的名字記錄下來。

然後率領百夫長、迦利人、衛兵和民眾，護送王從耶和華的殿下來，經過衛兵院的門進入王宮。這樣，約阿施坐上了王位。
