He took with him the commanders of hundreds, the Carites, the guards and all the people of the land, and together they brought the king down from the temple of the Lord and went into the palace, entering by way of the gate of the guards. The king then took his place on the royal throne.

Jehoiada took with him the commanders of groups of 100 men. They were the commanders over the Carites and the guards. He also took with him all the people of the land. All of them brought the new king down from the Lord’ s temple. They went into the palace. They entered it by going through the gate of the guards. Then the king sat down on the royal throne.

And he took the captains, the Carites, the guards, and all the people of the land, and they brought the king down from the house of the Lord, marching through the gate of the guards to the king’s house. And he took his seat on the throne of the kings.

Then the commanders, the Carite mercenaries, the palace guards, and all the people of the land escorted the king from the Temple of the Lord. They went through the gate of the guards and into the palace, and the king took his seat on the royal throne.

And he took the rulers over hundreds, and the captains, and the guard, and all the people of the land; and they brought down the king from the house of the LORD, and came by the way of the gate of the guard to the king’s house. And he sat on the throne of the kings.

He took the officers of the units of hundreds, the Carians, the royal bodyguard, and all the people of land, and together they led the king down from the LORD’s temple. They entered the royal palace through the Gate of the Royal Bodyguard, and the king sat down on the royal throne.

He took the captains over hundreds, and the Carites, and the guard, and all the people of the land; and they brought down the king from Yahweh’s house, and came by the way of the gate of the guard to the king’s house. He sat on the throne of the kings.

第七年，耶何耶大派人召迦利人和衛兵的百夫長們到耶和華的殿裡，與他們立約，讓他們在耶和華的殿裡起誓，然後把約阿施王子帶到他們面前。耶何耶大吩咐他們說：「你們在安息日值班的，三分之一要守衛王宮，三分之一要守衛蘇珥門，三分之一要守住衛兵院後門。你們要輪流守衛。

耶和華說：「你要把這人作為無兒無女、一生失敗的人記錄下來，因為他的後裔中無一人能成功地繼承大衛的寶座，統治猶大。」

你去見大衛王，對他說，『我主我王啊，你不是起誓說讓臣妾的兒子所羅門繼承王位嗎？怎麼現在亞多尼雅做了王呢？』

耶何耶大還派門衛把守耶和華殿的各門，禁止一切不潔淨的人入內。

耶穌說：「我實在告訴你們，到萬物更新、人子坐在祂榮耀的寶座上時，你們這些跟從我的人也要坐在十二個寶座上，審判以色列的十二個支派。

如果你們遵守我的命令，大衛的子孫必繼續做王，並乘車、騎馬率領臣民進出王宮。

於是，所羅門登上了耶和華所賜的王位，接替他父親大衛做王。他凡事亨通，以色列眾人都服從他，

「當人子在祂的榮耀中與眾天使降臨的時候，祂要坐在榮耀的寶座上，

三分之一要把守王宮，三分之一要把守基址門，所有民眾要留在耶和華殿的院子裡。

這樣，坐大衛寶座的君王及其官員必乘車騎馬和猶大人以及耶路撒冷的居民從城門出入。這城必永遠有人居住。
