但约兰王的女儿，亚哈谢的妹子约示巴，将亚哈谢的儿子约阿施从那被杀的王子中偷出来，把他和他的乳母都藏在卧房里，躲避亚他利雅，免得被杀。

撒母耳拿瓶膏油倒在扫罗的头上，与他亲嘴，说：“这不是耶和华膏你作他产业的君吗？

你们必欢欢喜喜而出来，平平安安蒙引导。大山小山必在你们面前发声歌唱；田野的树木也都拍掌。

他登了国位，就要将祭司利未人面前的这律法书，为自己抄录一本，存在他那里，要平生诵读，好学习敬畏耶和华他的神，谨守遵行这律法书上的一切言语和这些律例，免得他向弟兄心高气傲，偏左偏右，离了这诫命。这样，他和他的子孙便可在以色列中，在国位上年长日久。”

万民哪，你们都要拍掌！要用夸胜的声音向神呼喊！

愿大水拍手；愿诸山在耶和华面前一同欢呼；

大卫的朋友亚基人户筛去见押沙龙，对他说：“愿王万岁！愿王万岁！”

撒母耳就用角里的膏油，在他诸兄中膏了他。从这日起，耶和华的灵就大大感动大卫。撒母耳起身回拉玛去了。

将瓶里的膏油倒在他头上，说：‘耶和华如此说：我膏你作以色列王。’说完了，就开门逃跑，不要迟延。”

我要使他的仇敌披上羞耻；但他的冠冕要在头上发光。”

你喜爱公义，恨恶罪恶，所以神，就是你的神，用喜乐油膏你，胜过膏你的同伴。”

王爱以斯帖过于爱众女，她在王眼前蒙宠爱比众处女更甚。王就把王后的冠冕戴在她头上，立她为王后，代替瓦实提。

他们要存活。示巴的金子要奉给他；人要常常为他祷告，终日称颂他。在地的山顶上，五谷必然茂盛；所结的谷实要响动，如黎巴嫩的树林；城里的人要发旺，如地上的草。他的名要存到永远，要留传如日之久。人要因他蒙福；万国要称他有福。

前行后随的众人喊着说：“和散那归于大卫的子孙！奉主名来的是应当称颂的！高高在上和散那！”

那在基督里坚固我们和你们，并且膏我们的就是神。

在那里，祭司撒督和先知拿单要膏他作以色列的王；你们也要吹角，说：‘愿所罗门王万岁！’

他们对尼布甲尼撒王说：“愿王万岁！

现在你们的主扫罗死了，犹大家已经膏我作他们的王，所以你们要刚强奋勇。”

夺了亚扪人之王所戴的金冠冕，其上的金子重一他连得，又嵌着宝石。人将这冠冕戴在大卫头上。大卫从城里夺了许多财物，

用荆棘编做冠冕，戴在他头上，拿一根苇子放在他右手里，跪在他面前，戏弄他，说：“恭喜，犹太人的王啊！”

希律和本丢彼拉多，外邦人和以色列民，果然在这城里聚集，要攻打你所膏的圣仆耶稣，

惟独见那成为比天使小一点的耶稣；因为受死的苦，就得了尊贵荣耀为冠冕，叫他因着神的恩，为人人尝了死味。

但以理对王说：“愿王万岁！

于是领王子出来，给他戴上冠冕，将律法书交给他，立他作王。耶何耶大和众子膏他，众人说：“愿王万岁！”

你要卷起律法书，在我门徒中间封住训诲。

于是以色列的长老都来到希伯仑见大卫王，大卫在希伯仑耶和华面前与他们立约，他们就膏大卫作以色列的王。

他的眼睛如火焰，他头上戴着许多冠冕；又有写着的名字，除了他自己没有人知道。

人当以训诲和法度为标准；他们所说的，若不与此相符，必不得见晨光。

因为，他在雅各中立法度，在以色列中设律法；是他吩咐我们祖宗要传给子孙的，

当将王常穿的朝服和戴冠的御马，

你以美福迎接他，把精金的冠冕戴在他头上。

耶和华的受膏者好比我们鼻中的气，在他们的坑中被捉住；我们曾论到他说：“我们必在他荫下，在列国中存活。”

你厌恶了与仆人所立的约，将他的冠冕践踏于地。

犹大人来到希伯仑，在那里膏大卫作犹大家的王。有人告诉大卫说：“葬埋扫罗的是基列雅比人。”

第七年，耶何耶大打发人叫迦利人和护卫兵的众百夫长来，领他们进了耶和华的殿，与他们立约，使他们在耶和华殿里起誓，又将王的儿子指给他们看，
