When the messenger arrived, he told Jehu,“ They have brought the heads of the princes.” Then Jehu ordered,“ Put them in two piles at the entrance of the city gate until morning.”

When the messenger arrived, he spoke to Jehu. He told him,“ The heads of the princes have been brought here.” Then Jehu ordered his men,“ Put them in two piles. Stack them up at the entrance of the city gate until morning.”

When the messenger came and told him,“ They have brought the heads of the king’s sons,” he said,“ Lay them in two heaps at the entrance of the gate until the morning.”

A messenger went to Jehu and said,“ They have brought the heads of the king’s sons.” So Jehu ordered,“ Pile them in two heaps at the entrance of the city gate, and leave them there until morning.”

When the messenger came and told him,“ They have brought the heads of the king’s sons,” the king said,“ Pile them in two heaps at the entrance of the city gate until morning.”

於是打發人去見耶洗別，說：『拿伯被石頭打到死了。』

於是約押打發人把戰事的消息告訴大衛；又吩咐使者說：『你把戰事的消息對王說完了，王的烈怒若發作，而問你說：「你們為甚麼挨近城牆打仗呢？豈不知敵人會從城牆上射箭麼？從前擊死了耶路比設的兒子亞比米勒的是誰呢？豈不是一個婦人從城牆上丟下一塊上磨石來、打在他身上，他就死在提備斯麼？你們為甚麼挨近城牆呢？」那麼你就說：「王的僕人赫人烏利亞也死了。」』

他的屍體你不可留在示眾木上過夜，總要在當天將他葬埋，因為被掛的人是上帝所咒詛的；這樣、你就不至於使永恆主你的上帝所賜給你以為業的土地蒙不潔。

將他的頭放在盤子裏拿來，給那閨女；閨女就給了她母親。
