Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. And Jehu wrote and sent letters to Samaria, to the rulers of Jezreel, to the elders, and to those who reared Ahab’s sons, saying:

Now there were in Samaria seventy sons of the house of Ahab. So Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria: to the officials of Jezreel, to the elders and to the guardians of Ahab’s children. He said,

Ahab’s royal family in the city of Samaria had a total of 70 sons. Jehu wrote some letters to the officials of the city. He also sent them to the elders there. And he sent them to the people who took care of Ahab’s children. Jehu said,

Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. So Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria, to the rulers of the city, to the elders, and to the guardians of the sons of Ahab, saying,

Ahab had seventy sons living in Samaria. So Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria to the leading officials of Jezreel and to the guardians of Ahab’s dynasty. This is what the letters said,

So Omri rested with his fathers and was buried in Samaria. Then Ahab his son reigned in his place.

Gideon had seventy sons who were his own offspring, for he had many wives.

For the saying which he cried out by the word of the Lord against the altar in Bethel, and against all the shrines on the high places which are in the cities of Samaria, will surely come to pass.”

“ You shall appoint judges and officers in all your gates, which the Lord your God gives you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with just judgment.

And he bought the hill of Samaria from Shemer for two talents of silver; then he built on the hill, and called the name of the city which he built, Samaria, after the name of Shemer, owner of the hill.

Then she said to her mistress,“ If only my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria! For he would heal him of his leprosy.”

Now he had thirty sons who rode on thirty donkeys; they also had thirty towns, which are called“ Havoth Jair” to this day, which are in the land of Gilead.

He had forty sons and thirty grandsons, who rode on seventy young donkeys. He judged Israel eight years.

And she wrote letters in Ahab’s name, sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters to the elders and the nobles who were dwelling in the city with Naboth.She wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and seat Naboth with high honor among the people;and seat two men, scoundrels, before him to bear witness against him, saying,“ You have blasphemed God and the king.” Then take him out, and stone him, that he may die.So the men of his city, the elders and nobles who were inhabitants of his city, did as Jezebel had sent to them, as it was written in the letters which she had sent to them.They proclaimed a fast, and seated Naboth with high honor among the people.And two men, scoundrels, came in and sat before him; and the scoundrels witnessed against him, against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying,“ Naboth has blasphemed God and the king!” Then they took him outside the city and stoned him with stones, so that he died.Then they sent to Jezebel, saying,“ Naboth has been stoned and is dead.”

Then he searched for Ahaziah; and they caught him( he was hiding in Samaria), and brought him to Jehu. When they had killed him, they buried him,“ because,” they said,“ he is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the Lord with all his heart.” So the house of Ahaziah had no one to assume power over the kingdom.
