Then he sent to Elijah a captain with his company of fifty men. The captain went up to Elijah, who was sitting on the top of a hill, and said to him,“ Man of God, the king says,‘ Come down!’”

Then Ahaziah sent a captain to Elijah. The captain had his group of 50 fighting men with him. Elijah was sitting on top of a hill. The captain went up to him. He said to Elijah,“ Man of God, the king says,‘ Come down!’ ”

Then the king sent to him a captain of fifty men with his fifty. He went up to Elijah, who was sitting on the top of a hill, and said to him,“ O man of God, the king says,‘ Come down.’”

Then he sent an army captain with fifty soldiers to arrest him. They found him sitting on top of a hill. The captain said to him,“ Man of God, the king has commanded you to come down with us.”

So King Ahaziah sent a captain with his fifty men to Elijah. When the captain went up to him, he was sitting on top of the hill. He announced,“ Man of God, the king declares,‘ Come down!’”

王曰、爾往探以利沙於何處、我將遣人擒之、或告之曰、彼在多坍、王遂遣馬卒戰車與眾多之軍卒、往多坍、夜至圍城、

耶洗別殺主之先知時、俄巴底以先知一百人藏匿、每五十人匿於一穴、供其飲食、原文作以餅與水養之下同

有人受凌侮、鞭撲、縲絏、囹圄之試、

以色列王基督、今可由十字架而下、使我見而信、同釘者亦詬之、○

曰、基督、爾既先知、試言擊爾者為誰、○

以色列王曰、將米該雅付於邑宰亞們與王子約阿施、告之曰、王命以此人拘於獄、加以艱苦、不使之食足飲足、原文作使之少食餅少飲水直待我安然而歸、

眾大怒、相議何以處耶穌、當時耶穌出、往山祈禱、終夜祈禱天主、

祭司諸長、經士、長老、亦譏之曰、彼救他人、不能自救、若為以色列王、今可由十字架而下、我則信之、彼賴天主、若為天主所悅、今可拯之、蓋彼嘗言我乃天主子也、

耶洗別遣人見以利亞告之曰、如明日此時、我不使爾生命如彼之生命然、則願諸神降重災於我、

以棘編冠冠其首、置葦於其右手、跪其前、戲之曰、請猶太人王安、

初、希律為弟腓立妻希羅底故、執約翰繫於獄、

亞哈遂上、以食以飲、以利亞登迦密山巔、屈身向地、伏面於兩膝之間、

我指永生主爾之天主而誓、無一民、無一國、我主人不遣人尋爾、若云不在者、則我主人使斯國斯民發誓曰、尋爾不得、
