蓋此供事之役、不第補聖徒之空乏、且因感謝之多、而得充裕也、

是施濟之職、不第補聖徒不足、益令人徧謝上帝、

蓋此施濟之事、不但補聖徒之不足、亦使多人感謝天主、

是則此項善舉不僅補聖徒之不足、抑且使眾心感謝天主、於以增益天主之光榮。

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

Your gifts meet the needs of the Lord’s people. And that’s not all. Your gifts also cause many people to thank God.

For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.

So two good things will result from this ministry of giving— the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God.

For this service of giving that you perform not only makes up for lack among the saints, but abounds also through much giving of thanks to God,

凡有世上財物的，看見弟兄窮乏，卻硬著心腸不理，他怎能說他心裡有神的愛呢？

我的弟兄們，人若說他有信心，卻沒有行為，有甚麼益處呢？這信心能救他嗎？如果有弟兄或姊妹缺衣少食，而你們中間有人對他們說：“平平安安地去吧！願你們穿得暖，吃得飽。”卻不給他們身體所需用的，那有甚麼用處呢？

你們所送的我都全數收到了，而且綽綽有餘；我已經足夠了，因我從以巴弗提收到你們所送的，好像馨香之氣，是神所接納所喜悅的祭物。我的神必照他在基督耶穌裡榮耀的豐富，滿足你們的一切需要。

我聽見你對主耶穌和眾聖徒有愛心和信心，我每逢禱告提到你的時候，就常常感謝我的神。

再三懇求我們，准許他們在供應聖徒的事上有分。

然而我認為必須差以巴弗提到你們那裡去，他是我的弟兄，與我一同作工一同作戰的，也是你們為我的需要差來服事我的。

關於供應聖徒的事，我本來沒有寫信給你們的必要，

現在你們富裕，就要補助他們的缺乏，到了他們富裕的時候，也可以補助你們的缺乏，這樣就均等了；正如經上所記：“多的，沒有剩餘，少的，也不缺乏。”

請你們一同用禱告支持我們，好使許多人為著我們所蒙的恩獻上感謝。這恩是藉著許多人的代求而得到的。
