Now I want you to know, dear brothers and sisters, what God in his kindness has done through the churches in Macedonia.

吾儕茲可告慰於爾等者、乃天主所賜於馬其頓諸聖會之恩寵也。

And now, brothers and sisters, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches.

Now, brothers and sisters, we make known to you the grace of God which has been given in the churches of Macedonia,

Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia:

Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God which hath been given in the churches of Macedonia;

We want you to know, brothers, about the grace of God granted to the churches of Macedonia:

Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;

Now we make known to you, brothers and sisters, the grace of God given to the churches of Macedonia,

Moreover, brothers, we make known to you the grace of God which has been given in the assemblies of Macedonia,

That’s why I work and struggle so hard, depending on Christ’s mighty power that works within me.

Indeed, you already show your love for all the believers throughout Macedonia. Even so, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you to love them even more.

That night Paul had a vision: A man from Macedonia in northern Greece was standing there, pleading with him,“ Come over to Macedonia and help us!”

But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me— and not without results. For I have worked harder than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace.

When he arrived and saw this evidence of God’s blessing, he was filled with joy, and he encouraged the believers to stay true to the Lord.

Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ.

For I know how eager you are to help, and I have been boasting to the churches in Macedonia that you in Greece were ready to send an offering a year ago. In fact, it was your enthusiasm that stirred up many of the Macedonian believers to begin giving.

So two good things will result from this ministry of giving— the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God.

For you see, the believers in Macedonia and Achaia have eagerly taken up an offering for the poor among the believers in Jerusalem.

They are being tested by many troubles, and they are very poor. But they are also filled with abundant joy, which has overflowed in rich generosity.For I can testify that they gave not only what they could afford, but far more. And they did it of their own free will.They begged us again and again for the privilege of sharing in the gift for the believers in Jerusalem.They even did more than we had hoped, for their first action was to give themselves to the Lord and to us, just as God wanted them to do.So we have urged Titus, who encouraged your giving in the first place, to return to you and encourage you to finish this ministry of giving.Since you excel in so many ways— in your faith, your gifted speakers, your knowledge, your enthusiasm, and your love from us— I want you to excel also in this gracious act of giving.

And when I was with you and didn’t have enough to live on, I did not become a financial burden to anyone. For the brothers who came from Macedonia brought me all that I needed. I have never been a burden to you, and I never will be.

We would be embarrassed— not to mention your own embarrassment— if some Macedonian believers came with me and found that you weren’t ready after all I had told them!

As a result, you have become an example to all the believers in Greece— throughout both Macedonia and Achaia.And now the word of the Lord is ringing out from you to people everywhere, even beyond Macedonia and Achaia, for wherever we go we find people telling us about your faith in God. We don’t need to tell them about it,
