known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed;

We are known, but people treat us as if we were unknown. We are dying, but we continue to live. We are beaten, but we are not killed.

as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as punished, and yet not killed;

We are ignored, even though we are well known. We live close to death, but we are still alive. We have been beaten, but we have not been killed.

as unknown, yet recognized; as dying, yet see— we live; as being disciplined, yet not killed;

as unknown and yet well known, as dying and yet behold, we are alive; as punished and yet not put to death,

as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed;

as unknown yet recognized; as dying and look— we live; as being disciplined yet not killed;

As unknown, and[ yet] well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

as unknown, and yet well- known; as dying and yet– see!– we continue to live; as those who are scourged and yet not executed;

always bearing about in the body the dying of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our body.For we who live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh.

For, I think, God hath set forth us the apostles last of all, as men doomed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, both to angels and men.

Even as it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

but we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

but had certain questions against him of their own religion, and of one Jesus, who was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.

Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest unto God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences.

And I was still unknown by face unto the churches of Judæa which were in Christ:but they only heard say, He that once persecuted us now preacheth the faith of which he once made havoc;and they glorified God in me.

And as they tarried there many days, Festus laid Paul’s case before the king, saying, There is a certain man left a prisoner by Felix;about whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, asking for sentence against him.

I protest by that glorying in you, brethren, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

And certain also of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers encountered him. And some said, What would this babbler say? others, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached Jesus and the resurrection.

I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of Jehovah.Jehovah hath chastened me sore; But he hath not given me over unto death.

And as Paul was about to be brought into the castle, he saith unto the chief captain, May I say something unto thee? And he said, Dost thou know Greek?Art thou not then the Egyptian, who before these days stirred up to sedition and led out into the wilderness the four thousand men of the Assassins?

But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
