But even if I am poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

So if you have not been faithful with the unrighteous money, who will trust you with what is genuine?And if you have not been faithful with what belongs to someone else, who will give you what is your own?

You who are now hungry are blessed, because you will be filled. You who now weep are blessed, because you will laugh.

Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.

and you became imitators of us and of the Lord when, in spite of severe persecution, you welcomed the message with joy from the Holy Spirit.

Get wisdom— how much better it is than gold! And get understanding— it is preferable to silver.

Instead, rejoice as you share in the sufferings of the Messiah, so that you may also rejoice with great joy at the revelation of His glory.

Those who mourn are blessed, for they will be comforted.

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us.

Then they went out from the presence of the Sanhedrin, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to be dishonored on behalf of the Name.

For you sympathized with the prisoners and accepted with joy the confiscation of your possessions, knowing that you yourselves have a better and enduring possession.

You rejoice in this, though now for a short time you have had to struggle in various trialsso that the genuineness of your faith— more valuable than gold, which perishes though refined by fire— may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.You love Him, though you have not seen Him. And though not seeing Him now, you believe in Him and rejoice with inexpressible and glorious joy,

Let the message about the Messiah dwell richly among you, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, and singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, with gratitude in your hearts to God.

Now if their stumbling brings riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full number bring!

Therefore, brothers, in all our distress and persecution, we were encouraged about you through your faith.For now we live, if you stand firm in the Lord.How can we thank God for you in return for all the joy we experience before our God because of you,as we pray very earnestly night and day to see you face to face and to complete what is lacking in your faith?

Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials,knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.

Instruct them to do what is good, to be rich in good works, to be generous, willing to share,

But Peter said,“ I don’t have silver or gold, but what I have, I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!”

For I wrote to you with many tears out of an extremely troubled and anguished heart— not that you should be hurt, but that you should know the abundant love I have for you.

So no one should boast in human leaders, for everything is yours—whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things to come— everything is yours,and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield. The Lord gives grace and glory; He does not withhold the good from those who live with integrity.

Rejoice always!

that I have intense sorrow and continual anguish in my heart.

I pray that He may grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power in the inner man through His Spirit,

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and I am completing in my flesh what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for His body, that is, the church.

He did not even spare His own Son but offered Him up for us all; how will He not also with Him grant us everything?

I don’t say this to condemn you, for I have already said that you are in our hearts, to live together and to die together.I have great confidence in you; I have great pride in you. I am filled with encouragement; I am overcome with joy in all our afflictions.In fact, when we came into Macedonia, we had no rest. Instead, we were troubled in every way: conflicts on the outside, fears inside.But God, who comforts the humble, comforted us by the arrival of Titus,and not only by his arrival, but also by the comfort he received from you. He told us about your deep longing, your sorrow, and your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced even more.For even if I grieved you with my letter, I do not regret it— even though I did regret it since I saw that the letter grieved you, yet only for a little while.Now I rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because your grief led to repentance. For you were grieved as God willed, so that you didn’t experience any loss from us.For godly grief produces a repentance not to be regretted and leading to salvation, but worldly grief produces death.

Be glad and rejoice, because your reward is great in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

The victor will inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he will be My son.
