So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now!

所以，我们从今以后，不凭着外貌认人了。虽然凭着外貌认过基督，如今却不再这样认他了。

所以，从今以后，我们不再按照人的看法来认识人，纵使我们曾经按照人的看法认识基督，如今却不再这样认识他了。

所以，从今以后，我们不再按照人的看法来认识人，纵使我们曾经按照人的看法认识基督，如今却不再这样认识他了。

从今以后，我们不再以貌取人了，虽然我们曾这样看待基督，现在却不再这样看待祂了。

所以，从今以后，我们不再按照人的看法认识人；虽然我们曾经按照人的看法认识基督，但现在不再这样了。

所以，从今以后，我们不按人的标准看任何人了。虽然我们曾经按人的标准认识基督，但现在我们不再这样认识他了。

所以，我們從今以後，不憑着外貌認人了。雖然憑着外貌認過基督，如今卻不再這樣認他了。

所以我們從今以後不再按人的肉體認識人了；縱使曾按其肉體認識基督，如今卻不再這樣認識他了。

所以，從今以後，我們不按人的標準看任何人了。雖然我們曾經按人的標準認識基督，但現在我們不再這樣認識他了。

今而後我儕不以貌識人、雖曾以貌識基督、今不復如此識之、

此後吾不以貌視人、雖曾以貌視基督、今不復如此視之、

故此後我不以外貌認人、雖曾以外貌認基督、今後不復如此認之、

是故自今而後、吾人不復以俗眼視人矣；雖亦曾以俗眼視基督、今則不復然矣。

So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.

So from now on we don’t look at anyone the way the world does. At one time we looked at Christ in that way. But we don’t anymore.

From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer.

From now on, then, we do not know anyone from a worldly perspective. Even if we have known Christ from a worldly perspective, yet now we no longer know him in this way.

Therefore from now on we recognize no one by the flesh; even though we have known Christ by the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer.

Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.

Wherefore we henceforth know no man after the flesh: even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.

From now on, then, we do not know anyone in a purely human way. Even if we have known Christ in a purely human way, yet now we no longer know Him in this way.

Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we[ him] no more.

So then from now on we acknowledge no one from an outward human point of view. Even though we have known Christ from such a human point of view, now we do not know him in that way any longer.

Therefore we know no one after the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.

I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done.Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ

The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.

For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love.

My dear brothers and sisters, how can you claim to have faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ if you favor some people over others?For example, suppose someone comes into your meeting dressed in fancy clothes and expensive jewelry, and another comes in who is poor and dressed in dirty clothes.If you give special attention and a good seat to the rich person, but you say to the poor one,“ You can stand over there, or else sit on the floor”— well,doesn’t this discrimination show that your judgments are guided by evil motives?

You are my friends if you do what I command.

But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.

Then Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see him. They stood outside and sent word for him to come out and talk with them.There was a crowd sitting around Jesus, and someone said,“ Your mother and your brothers are outside asking for you.”Jesus replied,“ Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”Then he looked at those around him and said,“ Look, these are my mother and brothers.Anyone who does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”

The Levites obeyed your word and guarded your covenant. They were more loyal to you than to their own parents. They ignored their relatives and did not acknowledge their own children.

“ If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine.

So why do you scorn my sacrifices and offerings? Why do you give your sons more honor than you give me— for you and they have become fat from the best offerings of my people Israel!

I solemnly command you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus and the highest angels to obey these instructions without taking sides or showing favoritism to anyone.Never be in a hurry about appointing a church leader. Do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.

But we refused to give in to them for a single moment. We wanted to preserve the truth of the gospel message for you.And the leaders of the church had nothing to add to what I was preaching.( By the way, their reputation as great leaders made no difference to me, for God has no favorites.)

Jesus asked,“ Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”Then he pointed to his disciples and said,“ Look, these are my mother and brothers.Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother!”

And since others boast about their human achievements, I will, too.

“ Dear woman, that’s not our problem,” Jesus replied.“ My time has not yet come.”
