For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.

Christ’s love controls us. We are sure that one person died for everyone. And so everyone died.

Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life.

But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.

I say this not as a command, but to prove by the earnestness of others that your love also is genuine.For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.

Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

When they could not pay, he cancelled the debt of both. I entered your house; you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet.You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment.Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven— for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.”

If anyone has no love for the Lord, let him be accursed. Our Lord, come!

And you were dead in the trespasses and sinsin which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience—among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved—

For if there was glory in the ministry of condemnation, the ministry of righteousness must far exceed it in glory.

We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things.

For I am full of words; the spirit within me constrains me.

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.

But Peter and John answered them,“ Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge,for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard.”

The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

When Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul was occupied with the word, testifying to the Jews that the Christ was Jesus.

but they urged him strongly, saying,“ Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is now far spent.” So he went in to stay with them.

It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.’”
