因为我们行事为人，是凭对上帝的信心，不是凭眼见。

我们得救的人有这个盼望。不过，看得见的盼望根本不算盼望，因为谁会盼望已经看见的呢？但我们若盼望那尚未看见的，就会忍耐等候。

信心是对盼望的事有把握，对还没看见的事很确定。

这些人到死都满怀信心。他们虽然没有得到上帝所应许的，却从远处望见了，就欢喜快乐，承认自己在世上不过是寄居的异乡人。

凡属世界的，如肉体的私欲、眼目的私欲和今生的骄傲都不是从父那里来的，而是从世界来的。这世界和其中一切的私欲都要过去，但遵守上帝旨意的人永远长存。

主应许给我们的是永生。

宁愿与上帝的子民一同受苦，也不肯享受一时的罪中之乐。在他眼中，为基督所受的凌辱远比埃及的财富更有价值，因为他盼望的是将来的赏赐。他凭信心离开埃及，不怕王的愤怒。他坚忍不拔，好像看见了肉眼不能看见的主。

定睛仰望为我们的信心创始成终的耶稣。祂为了摆在前面的喜乐，就轻看羞辱，忍受了十字架的痛苦，如今已坐在上帝宝座的右边。你们要思想忍受罪人如此顶撞的主，免得疲倦灰心。

这些人要受永远的刑罚，但义人要得到永远的生命。”

愿主耶稣基督和爱我们、开恩将永远的安慰和美好的盼望赐给我们的父上帝，

他要将赎罪祭牲的脂肪焚烧在坛上。把羊送交阿撒泻勒的人要洗衣、沐浴，然后才可回到营里。
