Shouldn’t we expect far greater glory under the new way, now that the Holy Spirit is giving life?

何況那屬靈的職事豈不更有榮光嗎？

那屬聖靈的事奉不是更有榮光嗎？

那屬聖靈的事奉不是更有榮光嗎？

那麼聖靈的事工豈不更有榮耀嗎？

那出於聖靈的工作不是更有榮光嗎？

何況靈的職事豈不更要帶着榮光麼？

何況那屬聖靈的服事工作，難道不更帶有榮光嗎？

況恃靈之役、其榮不更甚哉、

況本神之法、其榮不更甚哉、

況聖神之役、其榮不更大乎、

則供聖神之役者、其榮更當何如！

will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?

Since all this is true, won’t the work of the Holy Spirit be even more glorious?

how much more glorious will the ministry of the Spirit be?

won’t service of the Spirit be with much more glory?

Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?

But we who live by the Spirit eagerly wait to receive by faith the righteousness God has promised to us.

Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith.

“ God raised Jesus from the dead, and we are all witnesses of this.Now he is exalted to the place of highest honor in heaven, at God’s right hand. And the Father, as he had promised, gave him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon us, just as you see and hear today.

“ And this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord.“ My Spirit will not leave them, and neither will these words I have given you. They will be on your lips and on the lips of your children and your children’s children forever. I, the Lord, have spoken!

God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and his Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. May God give you more and more grace and peace.

He has enabled us to be ministers of his new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life.

For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ.

You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed.

For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

For I will pour out water to quench your thirst and to irrigate your parched fields. And I will pour out my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your children.

As for us, we can’t help but thank God for you, dear brothers and sisters loved by the Lord. We are always thankful that God chose you to be among the first to experience salvation— a salvation that came through the Spirit who makes you holy and through your belief in the truth.

‘ In the last days,’ God says,‘ I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants— men and women alike— and they will prophesy.

And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.

“ Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions.In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on servants— men and women alike.

Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,gentleness, and self control. There is no law against these things!

( When he said“ living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.)

But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you.( And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God.The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do.For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live.For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him,“ Abba, Father.”For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.

There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all.There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord.God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge.The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing.He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said.It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.

Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ.How foolish can you be? After starting your new lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?Have you experienced so much for nothing? Surely it was not in vain, was it?I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ.

These people are the ones who are creating divisions among you. They follow their natural instincts because they do not have God’s Spirit in them.But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit,
