So if the old way, which has been replaced, was glorious, how much more glorious is the new, which remains forever!

若那废掉的有荣光，这长存的就更有荣光了。

若是那逐渐褪色的有荣光，这长存的就更有荣光了。

若是那逐渐褪色的有荣光，这长存的就更有荣光了。

那渐渐消逝的尚且有荣耀，这永远长存的更是荣耀无比。

如果那短暂的有荣光，那长存的就更有荣光了。

这样，那渐渐消失的尚且带有荣光，何况这长存的，难道不更带有荣光吗？

若那廢掉的有榮光，這長存的就更有榮光了。

若是那逐漸褪色的有榮光，這長存的就更有榮光了。

若是那逐漸褪色的有榮光，這長存的就更有榮光了。

那漸漸消逝的尚且有榮耀，這永遠長存的更是榮耀無比。

如果那短暫的有榮光，那長存的就更有榮光了。

那漸漸消逝的制度若是通過榮光而立，這長存的就越發帶着榮光了。

這樣，那漸漸消失的尚且帶有榮光，何況這長存的，難道不更帶有榮光嗎？

蓋暫存者若榮、則永存者更榮矣、○

暫有者若榮、則永存者更榮、

若將廢者有榮、則永存者更有榮、○

夫終須廢棄之臨時制度、且產生於光榮之中、則其永久者之光榮、又為何如！

And if what was transitory came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts!

The glory of the old lasts for only a short time. How much greater is the glory of the new! It will last forever.

For if what was being brought to an end came with glory, much more will what is permanent have glory.

For if what was set aside was glorious, what endures will be even more glorious.

For if that which fades away was with glory, much more that which remains is in glory.

For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.

For if that which passeth away was with glory, much more that which remaineth is in glory.

For if what was fading away was glorious, what endures will be even more glorious.

For if that which is done away[ was] glorious, much more that which remaineth[ is] glorious.

For if what was made ineffective came with glory, how much more has what remains come in glory!

For if that which passes away was with glory, much more that which remains is in glory.

God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant.So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

When God speaks of a“ new” covenant, it means he has made the first one obsolete. It is now out of date and will soon disappear.

but there was an oath regarding Jesus. For God said to him,“ The Lord has taken an oath and will not break his vow:‘ You are a priest forever.’”Because of this oath, Jesus is the one who guarantees this better covenant with God.There were many priests under the old system, for death prevented them from remaining in office.But because Jesus lives forever, his priesthood lasts forever.Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.

Therefore, since God in his mercy has given us this new way, we never give up.

He has enabled us to be ministers of his new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life.The old way, with laws etched in stone, led to death, though it began with such glory that the people of Israel could not bear to look at Moses’ face. For his face shone with the glory of God, even though the brightness was already fading away.

Be careful that you do not refuse to listen to the One who is speaking. For if the people of Israel did not escape when they refused to listen to Moses, the earthly messenger, we will certainly not escape if we reject the One who speaks to us from heaven!When God spoke from Mount Sinai his voice shook the earth, but now he makes another promise:“ Once again I will shake not only the earth but the heavens also.”This means that all of creation will be shaken and removed, so that only unshakable things will remain.Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe.For our God is a devouring fire.
