末了，弟兄們，凡是真實的、凡是可敬的、凡是公義的、凡是清潔的、凡是可愛的、凡是有美名的，若有甚麼德行，若有甚麼稱讚，你們都要留意。

為君王和一切在位的，也要如此，使我們能夠敬虔端正地過平穩寧靜的生活。

你當竭力在神面前作一個經得起考驗、無愧的工人，按着正意講解真理的話。

主必救我脫離一切的兇惡，也必救我進他的天國。願榮耀歸給他，直到永永遠遠。阿們！

願賜平安的神親自使你們完全成聖！願你們的靈、魂、體得蒙保守，在我們的主耶穌基督來臨的時候，完全無可指責。

我所禱告的就是：要你們的愛心，在知識和各樣見識上，不斷增長，使你們能分辨是非，在基督的日子作真誠無可指責的人，更靠着耶穌基督結滿仁義的果子，歸榮耀稱讚給神。

忍受試煉的人有福了，因為他經過考驗以後必得生命的冠冕，這是主應許給愛他之人的。

你們在外邦人中要品行端正，好讓那些人，雖然毀謗你們是作惡的，會因看見你們的好行為而在鑒察的日子歸榮耀給神。

行事為人要端正，好像在白晝行走。不可荒宴醉酒；不可好色淫蕩；不可紛爭嫉妒。

我們留心做好事，不但在主面前，就是在人面前也是這樣。

當我們軟弱而你們剛強時，我們也歡喜。我們所祈求的是：你們能成為完全人。

我不求你把他們從世上接走，只求你保全他們，使他們脫離那惡者。

不叫我們陷入試探；救我們脫離那惡者。因為國度、權柄、榮耀，全是你的，直到永遠。阿們！』

反倒在各樣的事上表明自己是神的用人：就如在持久的忍耐、患難、困苦、災難、

因為蒙悅納的，不是自我稱許的，而是主所稱許的。

因為有人說：「他信上的語氣既嚴厲又強硬，他本人卻軟弱無能，言語粗俗。」

我想，神把我們作使徒的明顯地列在末後，好像定死罪的囚犯，因為我們成了一臺戲，給世界、天使和眾人觀看。我們為基督的緣故成為愚拙的；你們在基督裏倒是聰明的。我們軟弱，你們倒強壯；你們有榮耀，我們倒被藐視。直到如今，我們還是又飢又渴，又赤身露體，又挨打，又到處漂泊，並且勞碌，親手做工；被人咒罵，我們就祝福；被人迫害，我們就忍受；被人毀謗，我們就勸導。直到如今，人還把我們看作世上的污穢，萬物中的渣滓。

在你們中間必然有分門結黨的事，好使那些經得起考驗的人顯明出來。

不要以惡報惡，眾人以為美的事要留心去做。

雅比斯求告以色列的神說：「甚願你賜福與我，擴張我的疆界，你的手常與我同在，保佑我不遭患難，不受艱苦。」神就應允他所求的。
