“人无论有什么过错，或是犯了什么罪恶，不可凭着一个见证人的指证，总要凭着两个见证人的口供，或是三个见证人的口供，才可以确定。

好了，我打算第三次到你们那里去，这一次也不会成为你们的重担，因为我所要的不是你们的东西，而是你们自己。儿女不需要为父母积财，父母却应该为儿女积财。

凭着两个或三个见证人的口供，就可以把那该死的人处死；只是凭着一个见证人的口供，却不可以把人处死。

你们的律法上也写着：‘两个人的见证才是真的。’我为自己作证，差我来的父也为我作证。”

杀人的，要凭着几个见证人的口供，才可以把他处死；如果只有一个见证人，就不能指证把人处死。

又叫两个匪徒坐在拿伯的对面，作见证控告他说：‘你曾经咒诅神和君王’；然后把他拉出去，用石头把他打死。”

如果有人干犯了摩西的律法，凭着两三个证人，他尚且得不到怜悯而死；何况是践踏神的儿子，把那使他成圣的立约的血当作俗物，又侮辱施恩的圣灵的人，你们想想，他不是应该受更严厉的刑罚吗？

然后两个匪徒来坐在拿伯的对面。这两个流氓当众作见证控告拿伯，说：“拿伯曾经咒诅神和君王。”众人就把拿伯拉出城外，用石头打他，把他打死了。

虽然有许多人前来作假证供，却找不着证据。最后有两个人前来说：“这人说过：‘我可以拆毁神的圣所，三日之内又把它建造起来。’”
