But he said to me,“ My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

But he said to me,“ My grace is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak.” So I am very happy to brag about how weak I am. Then Christ’s power can rest on me.

I am able to do all things through the one who strengthens me.

Therefore I am content with weaknesses, with insults, with troubles, with persecutions and difficulties for the sake of Christ, for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.

He gives strength to those who are tired; to the ones who lack power, he gives renewed energy.Even youths get tired and weary; even strong young men clumsily stumble.But those who wait for the LORD’s help find renewed strength; they rise up as if they had eagles’ wings, they run without growing weary, they walk without getting tired.

I pray that according to the wealth of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person,

When you pass through the waters, I am with you; when you pass through the streams, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not harm you.

I repeat, be strong and brave! Don’t be afraid and don’t panic, for I, the LORD your God, am with you in all you do.”

No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it.

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me has not been in vain. In fact, I worked harder than all of them– yet not I, but the grace of God with me.

Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as if it were coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God,who made us adequate to be servants of a new covenant not based on the letter but on the Spirit, for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Therefore let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace whenever we need help.

But rejoice in the degree that you have shared in the sufferings of Christ, so that when his glory is revealed you may also rejoice and be glad.If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory, who is the Spirit of God, rests on you.

On behalf of such an individual I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except about my weaknesses.

Strengthen the hands that have gone limp, steady the knees that shake!Tell those who panic,“ Be strong! Do not fear! Look, your God comes to avenge! With divine retribution he comes to deliver you.”

and our Lord’s grace was abundant, bringing faith and love in Christ Jesus.

Then Moses said to the LORD,“ O my Lord, I am not an eloquent man, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant, for I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.”The LORD said to him,“ Who gave a mouth to man, or who makes a person mute or deaf or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the LORD?So now go, and I will be with your mouth and will teach you what you must say.”But Moses said,“ O my Lord, please send anyone else whom you wish to send!”Then the LORD became angry with Moses, and he said,“ What about your brother Aaron the Levite? I know that he can speak very well. Moreover, he is coming to meet you, and when he sees you he will be glad in his heart.“ So you are to speak to him and put the words in his mouth. And as for me, I will be with your mouth and with his mouth, and I will teach you both what you must do.

For I will give you the words along with the wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.

being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might for the display of all patience and steadfastness, joyfully

quenched raging fire, escaped the edge of the sword, gained strength in weakness, became mighty in battle, put foreign armies to flight,

“ Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things about you falsely on account of me.Rejoice and be glad because your reward is great in heaven, for they persecuted the prophets before you in the same way.

The bars of your gates will be made of iron and bronze, and may you have lifelong strength.There is no one like God, O Jeshurun, who rides through the sky to help you, on the clouds in majesty.The everlasting God is a refuge, and underneath you are his eternal arms; he has driven out enemies before you, and has said,“ Destroy!”

so that your faith would not be based on human wisdom but on the power of God.

Whenever they hand you over for trial, do not worry about how to speak or what to say, for what you should say will be given to you at that time.For it is not you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

Then one who appeared to be a human being was touching my lips. I opened my mouth and started to speak, saying to the one who was standing before me,“ Sir, due to the vision, anxiety has gripped me and I have no strength.How, sir, am I able to speak with you? My strength is gone, and I am breathless.”Then the one who appeared to be a human being touched me again and strengthened me.He said to me,“ Don’t be afraid, you who are valued. Peace be to you! Be strong! Be really strong!” When he spoke to me, I was strengthened. I said,“ Sir, you may speak now, for you have given me strength.”

The LORD your God is in your midst; he is a warrior who can deliver. He takes great delight in you; he renews you by his love; he shouts for joy over you.”

We proclaim him by instructing and teaching all people with all wisdom so that we may present every person mature in Christ.Toward this goal I also labor, struggling according to his power that powerfully works in me.

teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

From the mouths of children and nursing babies you have ordained praise on account of your adversaries, so that you might put an end to the vindictive enemy.

If I must boast, I will boast about the things that show my weakness.

Then the LORD will create over all of Mount Zion and over its convocations a cloud and smoke by day and a bright flame of fire by night; indeed a canopy will accompany the LORD’s glorious presence.By day it will be a shelter to provide shade from the heat, as well as safety and protection from the heavy downpour.

I answered,“ Oh, Lord GOD, I really do not know how to speak well enough for that, for I am too young.”The LORD said to me,“ Do not say,‘ I am too young.’ But go to whomever I send you and say whatever I tell you.Do not be afraid of those to whom I send you, for I will be with you to protect you,” says the LORD.Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me,“ I will most assuredly give you the words you are to speak for me.

Then Jesus came up and said to them,“ All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

For I am the LORD your God, the one who takes hold of your right hand, who says to you,‘ Don’t be afraid, I am helping you.’Don’t be afraid, despised insignificant Jacob, men of Israel. I am helping you,” says the LORD, your protector, the Holy One of Israel.“ Look, I am making you like a sharp threshing sledge, new and double-edged. You will thresh the mountains and crush them; you will make the hills like straw.You will winnow them and the wind will blow them away; the wind will scatter them. You will rejoice in the LORD; you will boast in the Holy One of Israel.

Now I will most gladly spend and be spent for your lives! If I love you more, am I to be loved less?

The LORD’s spirit will rest on him– a spirit that gives extraordinary wisdom, a spirit that provides the ability to execute plans, a spirit that produces absolute loyalty to the LORD.

Moses said to God,“ Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, or that I should bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”He replied,“ Surely I will be with you, and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: When you bring the people out of Egypt, you and they will serve God on this mountain.”

When the members of the prophetic guild in Jericho, who were standing at a distance, saw him do this, they said,“ The spirit that energized Elijah rests upon Elisha.” They went to meet him and bowed down to the ground before him.
