Again, do you think that we are excusing ourselves to you? In the sight of God we speak in Christ. But all things, beloved, are for your edifying.

你們這一向還以為我們是向你們辯訴呢！不，我們乃是在基督裏、當着上帝面前說話的；而且一切都是為了建立你們的，親愛的啊。

爾尚意我向爾自訴、然我在基督中上帝前而言也、愛友乎、所言悉以建爾、

爾意我欲自訴乎、凡我良朋、余宗基督、在上帝前而言此、悉以輔爾德、

爾猶思我向爾曹自訴乎、非也、我賴基督在天主前而言、至愛者乎、凡我所行者、乃為建爾德、

爾等以為吾儕但欲自為辨白耳。實則吾儕對越在天、言不離基督、在一切事上、惟欲己達達人、己立立人而已矣。

Have you been thinking all along that we have been defending ourselves to you? We have been speaking in the sight of God as those in Christ; and everything we do, dear friends, is for your strengthening.

All this time, have you been thinking that I’ve been speaking up for myself? No, I’ve been speaking with God as my witness. I’ve been speaking like a believer in Christ. Dear friends, everything I do is to help you become stronger.

Have you been thinking all along that we have been defending ourselves to you? It is in the sight of God that we have been speaking in Christ, and all for your upbuilding, beloved.

Perhaps you think we’re saying these things just to defend ourselves. No, we tell you this as Christ’s servants, and with God as our witness. Everything we do, dear friends, is to strengthen you.

Have you been thinking all along that we were defending ourselves to you? No, in the sight of God we are speaking in Christ, and everything, dear friends, is for building you up.

All this time you have been thinking that we are defending ourselves to you. Actually, it is in the sight of God that we have been speaking in Christ; and all for building you up, beloved.

Again, do you think that we excuse ourselves to you? We speak before God in Christ. But we do all things, beloved, for your edification.

Ye think all this time that we are excusing ourselves unto you. In the sight of God speak we in Christ. But all things, beloved, are for your edifying.

You have thought all along that we were defending ourselves to you. No, in the sight of God we are speaking in Christ, and everything, dear friends, is for building you up.

Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but[ we do] all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying.

Have you been thinking all this time that we have been defending ourselves to you? We are speaking in Christ before God, and everything we do, dear friends, is to build you up.

I tell the truth in Christ. I am not lying, my conscience testifying with me in the Holy Spirit

For even if I boast somewhat abundantly concerning our authority, which the Lord gave for building you up, and not for casting you down, I will not be ashamed,

What is it then, brothers? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has another language, or has an interpretation. Let all things be done to build each other up.

For we are not commending ourselves to you again, but speak as giving you occasion of boasting on our behalf, that you may have something to answer those who boast in appearance, and not in heart.For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God. Or if we are of sober mind, it is for you.

Are we beginning again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as do some, letters of commendation to you or from you?

If others partake of this right over you, don’t we yet more? Nevertheless we didn’t use this right, but we bear all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the Good News of Christ.Don’t you know that those who serve around sacred things eat from the things of the temple, and those who wait on the altar have their portion with the altar?Even so the Lord ordained that those who proclaim the Good News should live from the Good News.But I have used none of these things, and I don’t write these things that it may be done so in my case; for I would rather die, than that anyone should make my boasting void.For if I preach the Good News, I have nothing to boast about; for necessity is laid on me; but woe is to me if I don’t preach the Good News.For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward. But if not of my own will, I have a stewardship entrusted to me.What then is my reward? That when I preach the Good News, I may present the Good News of Christ without charge, so as not to abuse my authority in the Good News.For though I was free from all, I brought myself under bondage to all, that I might gain the more.To the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain those who are under the law;to those who are without law, as without law( not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law.To the weak I became as weak, that I might gain the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some.Now I do this for the sake of the Good News, that I may be a joint partaker of it.

Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.

I will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If I love you more abundantly, am I loved the less?

As the truth of Christ is in me, no one will stop me from this boasting in the regions of Achaia.

Having therefore these promises, beloved, let’s cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

The God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, he who is blessed forever more, knows that I don’t lie.

Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written,“ Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.”

even as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of the many, that they may be saved.

Therefore, my brothers, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, my beloved.

For this cause I write these things while absent, that I may not deal sharply when present, according to the authority which the Lord gave me for building up, and not for tearing down.
