余勸一兄弟偕提多往、提多取爾財乎、吾眾非一心而步亦步乎、

我請提多就爾、又求一弟偕之、提多曾得爾財乎、我眾非同一心乎、非同一跡而行乎、○

我曾慫恿提多至爾處、並遣發一兄弟與之偕、提多曾佔爾便宜乎？吾儕豈非表裏如一、心跡雙清者乎。

I urged Titus to go to you and I sent our brother with him. Titus did not exploit you, did he? Did we not walk in the same footsteps by the same Spirit?

所以，我们劝提多要继续完成他早先在你们当中开始的这件善事。

他也做了受割礼之人的父。这些人不只是受了割礼，还跟随我们先祖亚伯拉罕的脚步，效法他在未受割礼时的信心。

请你们敞开心怀接纳我们。我们没有亏负过任何人，没有败坏过任何人，也没有占过任何人的便宜。

感谢上帝！祂感动了提多的心，使他像我一样热诚地关怀你们。这固然是他听了我们的劝告，但也是他自己非常热诚，自愿去你们那里。我们还要派一位弟兄和他同去，这位弟兄在传福音的事上得到各地教会的赞许。此外，他还受各教会的委派，与我们一同把捐款送往耶路撒冷，使主得荣耀，并表明我们热诚相助的心。我们这样做是为了避免有人挑我们的不是，因我们经手的捐款数目可观。无论在主面前或在人面前，我们务求行事为人光明磊落。我们还要再派一位弟兄和他们一同去你们那里。我们经过多次多方的考验，证实他很热心，而且他因为十分信任你们，现在更热心了。至于提多，他是我的同伴，与我一同服侍你们。另外两位弟兄是众教会的代表，是基督的荣耀。

摩西非常愤怒，就对耶和华说：“求你不要接纳他们的祭物。我没有取过他们一头驴，也没有害过他们任何人。”

如今我站在这里，你们只管在耶和华和祂膏立的王面前为我作证，我夺过谁的牛？抢过谁的驴？欺骗过谁？压迫过谁？收过谁的贿赂而徇私枉法？如果有的话，我一定偿还。”他们答道：“你没有欺骗、压迫过我们，也没有拿过任何人的东西。”

我从未贪图别人的金银和衣服，你们都知道，我亲手做工养活自己和同工。我凡事以身作则，教导你们勤奋工作，帮助软弱的人，并牢记主耶稣的话，‘施比受更有福。’”

我前往特罗亚传扬基督的福音时，主为我打开了传福音的大门。那时，因为没有找到提多弟兄，我心里不安，便辞别众人来到马其顿。

但安慰沮丧之人的上帝借着提多的到来激励了我们。

如果主耶稣许可，我希望尽快派提摩太去你们那里，我好知道你们的近况，心里得到安慰。因为没有人像他那样跟我一同真正关心你们的事。别人都只顾自己的事，并不关心耶稣基督的事。但你们知道提摩太的为人，我与他情同父子，一起事奉和传扬福音。

从亚达薛西王二十年至三十二年，也就是我奉派为犹大省长的十二年间，我和我的弟兄都没有吃省长的俸禄。

你们蒙召也是为此，因为基督也为你们受过苦，给你们留下榜样，叫你们可以追随祂的脚步。
