Or did I commit a sin by humbling myself so that you could be exalted, because I proclaimed the gospel of God to you free of charge?

我因为白白传神的福音给你们，就自居卑微，叫你们高升，这算是我犯罪吗？

我贬低自己，为了使你们高升，因为我白白地传上帝的福音给你们，难道这算是我犯了错吗？

我自卑致爾高舉、傳爾上帝福音而無值、乃為罪乎、

我卑以自牧、傳上帝福音、不傷爾財、使爾高舉、是耶否耶、

我傳天主之福音於爾、而不費爾貲、自居卑微、使爾高舉、此為罪乎、

豈因吾之薄於己而厚於爾、乃反獲罪戾乎？

Was it a sin for me to lower myself in order to elevate you by preaching the gospel of God to you free of charge?

I preached God’s good news to you free of charge. When I did that, I was putting myself down in order to lift you up. Was this a sin?

Or did I commit a sin in humbling myself so that you might be exalted, because I preached God’s gospel to you free of charge?

Was I wrong when I humbled myself and honored you by preaching God’s Good News to you without expecting anything in return?

Or did I commit a sin by humbling myself so that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God to you free of charge?

Or did I commit a sin by humbling myself so that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God to you without charge?

Did I commit sin in humbling myself that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God to you free of charge?

Or did I commit a sin in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I preached to you the gospel of God for nought?

Or did I commit a sin by humbling myself so that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God to you free of charge?

Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?

Or did I commit a sin in humbling myself that you might be exalted, because I preached to you God’s Good News free of charge?

For how were you treated worse than the other churches, except that I myself was not a burden to you? Forgive me this injustice!

We are fools for Christ, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, we are dishonored!To the present hour we are hungry and thirsty, poorly clothed, brutally treated, and without a roof over our heads.We do hard work, toiling with our own hands. When we are verbally abused, we respond with a blessing, when persecuted, we endure,

For you recall, brothers and sisters, our toil and drudgery: By working night and day so as not to impose a burden on any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.

You yourselves know that these hands of mine provided for my needs and the needs of those who were with me.

Now I, Paul, appeal to you personally by the meekness and gentleness of Christ( I who am meek when present among you, but am full of courage toward you when away!)–

Or do only Barnabas and I lack the right not to work?

In the same way the Lord commanded those who proclaim the gospel to receive their living by the gospel.But I have not used any of these rights. And I am not writing these things so that something will be done for me. In fact, it would be better for me to die than– no one will deprive me of my reason for boasting!For if I preach the gospel, I have no reason for boasting, because I am compelled to do this. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!For if I do this voluntarily, I have a reward. But if I do it unwillingly, I am entrusted with a responsibility.What then is my reward? That when I preach the gospel I may offer the gospel free of charge, and so not make full use of my rights in the gospel.

After this Paul departed from Athens and went to Corinth.There he found a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had ordered all the Jews to depart from Rome. Paul approached them,and because he worked at the same trade, he stayed with them and worked with them( for they were tentmakers by trade).

If others receive this right from you, are we not more deserving? But we have not made use of this right. Instead we endure everything so that we may not be a hindrance to the gospel of Christ.

and we did not eat anyone’s food without paying. Instead, in toil and drudgery we worked night and day in order not to burden any of you.
