that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;

Adam wasn’t deceived, but the woman, being deceived, has fallen into disobedience;

But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

For those who are such don’t serve our Lord, Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by their smooth and flattering speech, they deceive the hearts of the innocent.For your obedience has become known to all. I rejoice therefore over you. But I desire to have you wise in that which is good, but innocent in that which is evil.

For their folly will be evident to all men, as theirs also came to be.

Indignation has taken hold on me, because of the wicked who forsake your law.

For there are also many unruly men, vain talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,

Daring, self- willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries;whereas angels, though greater in might and power, don’t bring a railing judgment against them before the Lord.But these, as unreasoning creatures, born natural animals to be taken and destroyed, speaking evil in matters about which they are ignorant, will in their destroying surely be destroyed,receiving the wages of unrighteousness; people who count it pleasure to revel in the daytime, spots and defects, reveling in their deceit while they feast with you;having eyes full of adultery, and who can’t cease from sin; enticing unsettled souls; having a heart trained in greed; children of cursing;
