所有敬畏神的人哪，你們都當來聽！我要講述他為我所做的事。

因為基督的苦難怎樣充充滿滿臨到我們，藉著基督，我們的安慰也照樣充充滿滿。我們如果受患難，是為了你們的安慰和救恩；我們如果受安慰，也是為了你們的安慰；這安慰有功效，使你們能忍耐與我們所受的同樣苦難。

為此，我們受到了安慰。在這安慰之外，我們又因著提多的喜樂更是格外喜樂，因為他的心靈被你們大家所安撫。

所以，你們當用這些話彼此鼓勵。

耶和華必安慰錫安，安慰錫安所有的廢墟，使她的曠野如伊甸，使她的荒漠像耶和華的園子；其中必有歡喜和快樂，必有感謝和歌唱的聲音。

並且大多數的弟兄因著我所受的捆鎖，就在主裡深信不疑、無所懼怕，更加大膽地傳講這話語。

他們既不飢餓也不口渴，炎熱和太陽也不會傷害他們，因為那憐憫他們的必引領他們，帶領他們到水泉旁邊。

求你向我顯出恩寵的標記，願恨我的人看見就蒙羞；因為你耶和華幫助我、安慰我。
