For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding“ Yes!” And through Christ, our“ Amen”( which means“ Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are“ Yes” in Christ. And so through him the“ Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.

God has made a great many promises. They are all“ Yes” because of what Christ has done. So through Christ we say“ Amen.” We want God to receive glory.

For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.

For every one of God’s promises is“ Yes” in him. Therefore, through him we also say“ Amen” to the glory of God.

For as many as the promises of God are, in Him they are yes; therefore through Him also is our Amen to the glory of God through us.

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

For how many soever be the promises of God, in him is the yea: wherefore also through him is the Amen, unto the glory of God through us.

For every one of God’s promises is“ Yes” in Him. Therefore, the“ Amen” is also spoken through Him by us for God’s glory.

So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father.And in this fellowship we enjoy the eternal life he promised us.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.

God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God.And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago.The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.

They sang,“ Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

“ Write this letter to the angel of the church in Laodicea. This is the message from the one who is the Amen— the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s new creation:

For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.

But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ.

For the Lord will rebuild Jerusalem. He will appear in his glory.

When he comes on that day, he will receive glory from his holy people— praise from all who believe. And this includes you, for you believed what we told you about him.

All these people died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. They agreed that they were foreigners and nomads here on earth.

You are the children of those prophets, and you are included in the covenant God promised to your ancestors. For God said to Abraham,‘ Through your descendants all the families on earth will be blessed.’When God raised up his servant, Jesus, he sent him first to you people of Israel, to bless you by turning each of you back from your sinful ways.”

All these people earned a good reputation because of their faith, yet none of them received all that God had promised.For God had something better in mind for us, so that they would not reach perfection without us.

Jesus replied,“ I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.

God gave the promises to Abraham and his child. And notice that the Scripture doesn’t say“ to his children,” as if it meant many descendants. Rather, it says“ to his child”— and that, of course, means Christ.This is what I am trying to say: The agreement God made with Abraham could not be canceled 430 years later when God gave the law to Moses. God would be breaking his promise.For if the inheritance could be received by keeping the law, then it would not be the result of accepting God’s promise. But God graciously gave it to Abraham as a promise.

“ Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has visited and redeemed his people.He has sent us a mighty Savior from the royal line of his servant David,just as he promised through his holy prophets long ago.Now we will be saved from our enemies and from all who hate us.He has been merciful to our ancestors by remembering his sacred covenant—the covenant he swore with an oath to our ancestor Abraham.We have been rescued from our enemies so we can serve God without fear,

“ Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”

But Melchizedek, who was not a descendant of Levi, collected a tenth from Abraham. And Melchizedek placed a blessing upon Abraham, the one who had already received the promises of God.

“ And now we are here to bring you this Good News. The promise was made to our ancestors,and God has now fulfilled it for us, their descendants, by raising Jesus. This is what the second psalm says about Jesus:‘ You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.’For God had promised to raise him from the dead, not leaving him to rot in the grave. He said,‘ I will give you the sacred blessings I promised to David.’Another psalm explains it more fully:‘ You will not allow your Holy One to rot in the grave.’This is not a reference to David, for after David had done the will of God in his own generation, he died and was buried with his ancestors, and his body decayed.No, it was a reference to someone else— someone whom God raised and whose body did not decay.“ Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins.Everyone who believes in him is made right in God’s sight— something the law of Moses could never do.

Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.Remember that Christ came as a servant to the Jews to show that God is true to the promises he made to their ancestors.He also came so that the Gentiles might give glory to God for his mercies to them. That is what the psalmist meant when he wrote:“ For this, I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing praises to your name.”

Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.For example, there was God’s promise to Abraham. Since there was no one greater to swear by, God took an oath in his own name, saying:“ I will certainly bless you, and I will multiply your descendants beyond number.”Then Abraham waited patiently, and he received what God had promised.Now when people take an oath, they call on someone greater than themselves to hold them to it. And without any question that oath is binding.God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind.So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.

And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.

And I will cause hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.”

All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel( which means‘ God is with us’).

They were told that their messages were not for themselves, but for you. And now this Good News has been announced to you by those who preached in the power of the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. It is all so wonderful that even the angels are eagerly watching these things happen.

For if you praise God only in the spirit, how can those who don’t understand you praise God along with you? How can they join you in giving thanks when they don’t understand what you are saying?

For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!

May the king’s name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun shines. May all nations be blessed through him and bring him praise.

All who invoke a blessing or take an oath will do so by the God of truth. For I will put aside my anger and forget the evil of earlier days.

Jesus told him,“ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ.I was chosen to explain to everyone this mysterious plan that God, the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning.God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.

The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from his descendants, until the coming of the one to whom it belongs, the one whom all nations will honor.

For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ.

All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.

And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed— all because you have obeyed me.”

For God, who said,“ Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.

For that old system deals only with food and drink and various cleansing ceremonies— physical regulations that were in effect only until a better system could be established.So Christ has now become the High Priest over all the good things that have come. He has entered that greater, more perfect Tabernacle in heaven, which was not made by human hands and is not part of this created world.With his own blood— not the blood of goats and calves— he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever.Under the old system, the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer could cleanse people’s bodies from ceremonial impurity.Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins.That is why he is the one who mediates a new covenant between God and people, so that all who are called can receive the eternal inheritance God has promised them. For Christ died to set them free from the penalty of the sins they had committed under that first covenant.

For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.
