我斯意豈輕躁乎、我所擬豈狥情而有是是非非乎、

我有斯意、豈浮而不實乎、豈狥私有今是後非乎、

我有此意、豈盡浮而不實乎、或我所定之意、豈循私欲而定、致在我有今是後非乎、

當吾之存此意念也、決非以輕率出之、亦非徇於私情而定、其後又任意變更計劃、忽爾非其所是、是其所非也。

You may be asking why I changed my plan. Do you think I make my plans carelessly? Do you think I am like people of the world who say“ Yes” when they really mean“ No”?

Now when I planned this, was I of two minds? Or what I plan, do I plan in a purely human way so that I say“ Yes, yes” and“ No, no” at the same time?

Therefore, I was not vacillating when I intended to do this, was I? Or what I decide, do I decide according to the flesh, so that with me there will be yes, yes and no, no at the same time?

Therefore, when I was planning this, did I do it lightly? Or the things I plan, do I plan according to the flesh, that with me there should be Yes, Yes, and No, No?

When I therefore was thus minded, did I show fickleness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be the yea yea and the nay nay?

So when I planned this, was I irresponsible? Or what I plan, do I plan in a purely human way so that I say“ Yes, yes” and“ No, no” simultaneously?

Therefore when I was planning to do this, I did not do so without thinking about what I was doing, did I? Or do I make my plans according to mere human standards so that I would be saying both“ Yes, yes” and“ No, no” at the same time?

When I therefore was thus determined, did I show fickleness? Or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be the“ Yes, yes” and the“ No, no?”

I am coming to see you. Please don’t make me be as bold as I expect to be toward some people. They think that I live the way the people of this world live.I do live in the world. But I don’t fight my battles the way the people of the world do.

All you need to say is simply‘ Yes’ or‘ No.’ Anything more than this comes from the evil one.

We wanted to come to you. Again and again I, Paul, wanted to come. But Satan blocked our way.

Their prophets care about nothing. They can’t be trusted. Their priests make the temple“ unclean.” They break the law they teach others to obey.

I am against prophets who talk about dreams that did not come from me,” announces the Lord.“ They tell foolish lies. Their lies lead my people astray. But I did not send these prophets. I did not appoint them. They do not help my people in the least,” announces the Lord.

You judge by human standards. I don’t judge anyone.

My brothers and sisters, here is what is most important. Don’t make a promise by giving your word. Don’t promise by heaven or earth. And don’t promise by anything else to back up what you say. All you need to say is a simple“ Yes” or“ No.” If you do more than this, you will be judged.
