我本來不信那些話，及至我來親眼看見了，看哪，人所告訴我的，還不及你豐富智慧的一半，超過我所聽見的傳聞。

我未至而目擊、則不信其言、今知爾之智慧廣大、所告我者、猶未及半、爾之實蹟、越於我所聞之名譽、

我初不信、及我涖臨、目擊斯事、乃知所聞猶不及所見之半也、爾之智慧全備、較我所聞、尤覺其多。

我初不信其言、及我來此、目睹斯事、乃知爾之大智慧、人所告我者猶未及其半、爾過於我所聞之風聲、

But I did not believe what they said until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, not even half the greatness of your wisdom was told me; you have far exceeded the report I heard.

But I didn’t believe what people were saying. So I came to see for myself. And now I believe it! You are twice as wise as people say you are. The report I heard doesn’t even begin to tell the whole story about you.

but I did not believe the reports until I came and my own eyes had seen it. And behold, half the greatness of your wisdom was not told me; you surpass the report that I heard.

I didn’t believe what was said until I arrived here and saw it with my own eyes. In fact, I had not heard the half of your great wisdom! It is far beyond what I was told.

他是何等善！他是何其美！五穀使少男強壯，新酒使少女健美。

她對王說：「我在本國所聽到的話，論到你的事和你的智慧是真的！

地上凡曾聽過他智慧的君王，都派人來；萬民都有人來聽所羅門的智慧。

你這女子中最美麗的，你的良人有甚麼勝過別的良人呢？你的良人有甚麼勝過別的良人，使你這樣囑咐我們？我的良人紅潤發亮，超乎萬人之上。他的頭像千足的純金，他的髮綹卷曲，黑如烏鴉。他的眼如溪水旁的鴿子，沐浴在奶中，安得合式。他的兩頰如香花園，如香草臺；他的嘴唇像百合花，滴下沒藥汁。他的雙手宛如金條，鑲嵌水蒼玉；他的身體如同雕刻的象牙，周圍鑲嵌藍寶石。他的腿好比白玉石柱，安在精金座上；他的容貌如黎巴嫩，佳美如香柏樹。他的口甘甜，他全然可愛。耶路撒冷的女子啊，這是我的良人，這是我的朋友。

在世人眼前，你為敬畏你的人所積存的，為投靠你的人所施行的，是何等大的恩惠啊！

他的智慧勝過萬人，勝過以斯拉人以探，以及瑪曷的兒子希幔、甲各、達大。他的名聲傳遍四圍的列國。

其他的門徒就對他說：「我們已經看見主了。」多馬卻對他們說：「除非我看見他手上的釘痕，用我的指頭探入那釘痕，用我的手探入他的肋旁，我絕不信。」過了八日，門徒又在屋裏，多馬也和他們在一起。門都關了，耶穌來，站在當中，說：「願你們平安！」然後他對多馬說：「把你的指頭伸到這裏來，看看我的手；把你的手伸過來，探入我的肋旁。不要疑惑，總要信！」多馬回答，對他說：「我的主！我的神！」耶穌對他說：「你因為看見了我才信嗎？那沒有看見卻信的有福了。」

我本來不信那些話，及至我來親眼看見了，看哪，人所告訴我的還不到一半，你的智慧和你的福分超過我所聽見的傳聞。

如經上所記：「神為愛他的人所預備的是眼睛未曾看見，耳朵未曾聽見，人心也未曾想到的。」

親愛的，我們現在是神的兒女，將來如何還未顯明。我們所知道的是：基督顯現的時候，我們會像他，因為我們將見到他的本相。
