The priests took their positions, as did the Levites with the Lord’s musical instruments, which King David had made for praising the Lord and which were used when he gave thanks, saying,“ His love endures forever.” Opposite the Levites, the priests blew their trumpets, and all the Israelites were standing.

大衛吩咐利未人的族長，派他們歌唱的弟兄用琴瑟和鈸作樂，歡歡喜喜地大聲歌頌。於是利未人派約珥的兒子希幔和他弟兄中比利家的兒子亞薩，並他們族弟兄米拉利子孫裏古沙雅的兒子以探。其次還有他們的弟兄撒迦利雅、便雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、烏尼、以利押、比拿雅、瑪西雅、瑪他提雅、以利斐利戶、彌克尼雅，並守門的俄別‧以東和耶利。這樣，派歌唱的希幔、亞薩、以探敲銅鈸，大發響聲；派撒迦利雅、雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、烏尼、以利押、瑪西雅、比拿雅鼓瑟，調用女音；又派瑪他提雅、以利斐利戶、彌克尼雅、俄別‧以東、耶利、亞撒西雅領首彈琴，調用第八。

歌唱的，跳舞的，都要說：我的泉源都在你裏面。

大衛和以色列眾人在神前用琴、瑟、鑼、鼓、號作樂，極力跳舞歌唱。

約櫃安設之後，大衛派人在耶和華殿中管理歌唱的事。他們就在會幕前當歌唱的差，及至所羅門在耶路撒冷建造了耶和華的殿，他們便按着班次供職。

大衛派幾個利未人在耶和華的約櫃前事奉，頌揚，稱謝，讚美耶和華－以色列的神：為首的是亞薩，其次是撒迦利雅、雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、瑪他提雅、以利押、比拿雅、俄別‧以東、耶利，鼓瑟彈琴；惟有亞薩敲鈸，大發響聲；祭司比拿雅和雅哈悉常在神的約櫃前吹號。

且派祭司撒督和他弟兄眾祭司在基遍的邱壇、耶和華的帳幕前燔祭壇上，每日早晚，照着耶和華律法書上所吩咐以色列人的，常給耶和華獻燔祭。

亞倫子孫的班次記在下面：亞倫的兒子是拿答、亞比戶、以利亞撒、以他瑪。拿答、亞比戶死在他們父親之先，沒有留下兒子；故此，以利亞撒、以他瑪供祭司的職分。以利亞撒的子孫撒督和以他瑪的子孫亞希米勒，同着大衛將他們的族弟兄分成班次。

應當稱謝耶和華；因他本為善，他的慈愛永遠長存！

你們要讚美耶和華！要稱謝耶和華，因他本為善；他的慈愛永遠長存！

你們要稱謝耶和華，因他本為善；他的慈愛永遠長存！願以色列說：他的慈愛永遠長存！願亞倫的家說：他的慈愛永遠長存！願敬畏耶和華的說：他的慈愛永遠長存！

耶和華曉諭摩西說：「你要用銀子做兩枝號，都要錘出來的，用以招聚會眾，並叫眾營起行。吹這號的時候，全會眾要到你那裏，聚集在會幕門口。若單吹一枝，眾首領，就是以色列軍中的統領，要聚集到你那裏。吹出大聲的時候，東邊安的營都要起行。二次吹出大聲的時候，南邊安的營都要起行。他們將起行，必吹出大聲。但招聚會眾的時候，你們要吹號，卻不要吹出大聲。亞倫子孫作祭司的要吹這號；這要作你們世世代代永遠的定例。你們在自己的地，與欺壓你們的敵人打仗，就要用號吹出大聲，便在耶和華－你們的神面前得蒙紀念，也蒙拯救脫離仇敵。在你們快樂的日子和節期，並月朔，獻燔祭和平安祭，也要吹號，這都要在你們的神面前作為紀念。我是耶和華－你們的神。」

耶和華必成全關乎我的事；耶和華啊，你的慈愛永遠長存！求你不要離棄你手所造的。

七個祭司要拿七個羊角走在約櫃前。到第七日，你們要繞城七次，祭司也要吹角。

祭司示巴尼、約沙法、拿坦業、亞瑪賽、撒迦利雅、比拿亞、以利以謝在神的約櫃前吹號。俄別‧以東和耶希亞也是約櫃前守門的。

彈琴鼓瑟唱消閑的歌曲，為自己製造樂器，如同大衛所造的；

你們要稱謝耶和華，因他本為善；他的慈愛永遠長存！

所以，我的百姓必知道我的名；到那日他們必知道說這話的就是我。看哪，是我！」

大衛和眾首領分派亞薩、希幔，並耶杜頓的子孫彈琴、鼓瑟、敲鈸、唱歌。他們供職的人數記在下面：亞薩的兒子撒刻、約瑟、尼探雅、亞薩利拉都歸亞薩指教，遵王的旨意唱歌。耶杜頓的兒子基大利、西利、耶篩亞、哈沙比雅、瑪他提雅、示每共六人，都歸他們父親耶杜頓指教，彈琴，唱歌，稱謝，頌讚耶和華。希幔的兒子布基雅、瑪探雅、烏薛、細布業、耶利摩、哈拿尼雅、哈拿尼、以利亞他、基大利提、羅幔提‧以謝、約施比加沙、瑪羅提、何提、瑪哈秀；這都是希幔的兒子，吹角頌讚。希幔奉神之命作王的先見。神賜給希幔十四個兒子，三個女兒，都歸他們父親指教，在耶和華的殿唱歌、敲鈸、彈琴、鼓瑟，辦神殿的事務。亞薩、耶杜頓、希幔都是王所命定的。他們和他們的弟兄學習頌讚耶和華；善於歌唱的共有二百八十八人。

王又派利未人在耶和華殿中敲鈸，鼓瑟，彈琴，乃照大衛和他先見迦得，並先知拿單所吩咐的，就是耶和華藉先知所吩咐的。
