The priests took their positions, as did the Levites with the Lord’s musical instruments, which King David had made for praising the Lord and which were used when he gave thanks, saying,“ His love endures forever.” Opposite the Levites, the priests blew their trumpets, and all the Israelites were standing.

他们跳舞歌唱的时候，要说：“我的泉源都在你里面。”

大卫和以色列众人在神面前，用诗歌，以及弹琴鼓瑟、敲手鼓、响钹和吹号，尽情欢庆。

自约柜安放妥当以后，大卫指派在耶和华殿里负责歌唱事奉的就是以下这些人。他们在会幕的帐棚前担任歌唱的工作，直到所罗门在耶路撒冷建造了耶和华的殿，他们按着班次执行自己的职务。

又留下撒督祭司和他的亲族，都是作祭司的。在基遍的高地耶和华的帐幕前，每日早晚不住地在燔祭坛上，把燔祭献给耶和华，全是照着耶和华吩咐以色列人的律法书上所写的。和他们一起的有希幔、耶杜顿和其余被选出，有记名的人，都称谢耶和华，因为他的慈爱永远常存。希幔、耶杜顿和他们一起吹号敲钹，以及演奏各种乐器，大声歌颂神。耶杜顿的子孙负责守门。

亚伦子孙的班次如下：亚伦的儿子是拿答、亚比户、以利亚撒和以他玛。拿答和亚比户比他们的父亲早死，又没有儿子；所以以利亚撒和以他玛作了祭司。大卫和以利亚撒的子孙撒督，以及以他玛的子孙亚希米勒，把他们的亲族分开班次，按着他们的职责服事。

你们要称谢耶和华，因他是良善的，他的慈爱永远常存。

你们要赞美耶和华。你们要称谢耶和华，因为他是美善的；他的慈爱永远长存。

耶和华对摩西说：“你要用银子作两枝号，要锤出来的，可以用来召集会众，也可以叫会众拔营起行。吹号的时候，全体会众都要到你那里，聚集在会幕的门口。如果单吹一枝，众领袖，就是以色列的族长，都要到你那里聚集。你们吹大声的时候，那在东边的营，都要起行。你们第二次吹大声的时候，那在南边的营，都要起行；他们要起行，必须吹大声。但召集会众的时候，你们要吹号，却不要吹大声。亚伦的子孙作祭司的要作吹号的；这要作你们世世代代永远的条例。你们在本地与欺压你们的仇敌作战的时候，就要吹大声，使你们在耶和华你们的神面前得蒙记念，也得拯救脱离你们的仇敌。此外，在你们快乐的日子和指定的节期，以及月朔，你们献燔祭和平安祭的时候，也要吹号，这都要在你们的神面前替你们作为记念；我是耶和华你们的神。”

耶和华必成全关乎我的事；耶和华啊！你的慈爱永远长存，求你不要离弃你手所造的。

并派七个祭司拿着七个羊角，走在约柜的前面；到第七天，你们要绕城七次，祭司也要吹角。

示巴尼、约沙法、拿坦业、亚玛赛、撒迦利雅、比拿亚和以利以谢几位祭司，在神的约柜前吹号；俄别．以东和耶希亚也作看守约柜的人。

你们闲逸地弹琴奏乐，又为自己制造乐器，像大卫一样。

你们要称谢耶和华，因他本是良善的；他的慈爱永远长存。

所以我的子民必认识我的名，因此到了那日他们就必知道，说这话的就是我。看哪！是我。”

大卫和军队的领袖，也给亚萨、希幔和耶杜顿的子孙分派了任务，叫他们用琴瑟响钹说预言。他们任职的人数如下：亚萨的儿子有撒刻、约瑟、尼探雅和亚萨利拉；亚萨的儿子都归亚萨指挥，遵照王的旨意说预言。至于耶杜顿，他的儿子有基大利、西利、耶筛亚、示每、哈沙比雅和玛他提雅，共六人，都归他们的父亲耶杜顿指挥。耶杜顿用琴说预言，称谢和赞美耶和华。至于希幔，他的儿子有布基雅、玛探雅、乌薛、细布业、耶利摩、哈拿尼雅、哈拿尼、以利亚他、基大利提、罗幔提．以谢、约施比加沙、玛罗提、何提和玛哈秀。这些人都是希幔的儿子；希幔是王的先见，照着神的话高举他（“高举他”原文作“高举角”）。神赐给希幔十四个儿子，三个女儿。这些人都归他们的父亲指挥，在耶和华的殿里歌颂，用响钹和琴瑟在神的殿事奉。亚萨、耶杜顿和希幔都是由王指挥的。他们和他们的亲族，在歌颂耶和华的事上受过特别训练，精于歌唱的，人数共有二百八十八人。

王又指派在耶和华殿中的利未人拿着响钹和琴瑟，是照着大卫、王的先见迦得和拿单先知所吩咐的，就是耶和华藉他的先知所吩咐的。
