When I close up the sky so that it doesn’t rain, or command locusts to devour the land’s vegetation, or send a plague among my people,

我若使天闭塞不下雨，或使蝗虫吃这地的出产，或使瘟疫流行在我民中，

如果我使天闭塞不下雨，或吩咐蝗虫吞吃这地的土产，或差遣瘟疫到我的子民中间来；

我若使天閉塞不下雨，或使蝗蟲吃這地的出產，或使瘟疫流行在我民中，

我若使天閉塞不下雨，或使蝗蟲吃這地的出產，或降瘟疫在我子民中，

我若使天閉塞不下雨，或使蝗蟲吃這地的出產，或降瘟疫在我子民中，

若我使天不下雨，使蝗蟲吞吃地上的出產，或叫瘟疫在我民中流行，

如果我使天閉塞不下雨，或吩咐蝗蟲吞吃這地的土產，或差遣瘟疫到我的子民中間來；

我若將天抑制住、使它沒有雨水，我若吩咐蚱蜢來喫這地的物產，或是打發瘟疫到我人民中間；

若我使天閉塞不雨、或使蝻蝗食其土產、或使疫癘行於我民、

如我使天閉塞、雨澤不降、或使蝗蟲食其土產、或使瘟疫、流於民間、

如我使天閉塞而不降雨、或使蝗蝻食土產、或使疫癘流行我民中、

“ When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people,

“ Suppose I close up the sky and there isn’t any rain. Suppose I command locusts to eat up the crops. And I send a plague among my people.

When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people,

At times I might shut up the heavens so that no rain falls, or command grasshoppers to devour your crops, or send plagues among you.

If I shut the sky so there is no rain, or if I command the grasshopper to consume the land, or if I send pestilence on my people,

“ If I shut up the sky so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

“ The time will come when the skies are shut up tightly and no rain falls because your people sinned against you. When they direct their prayers toward this place, renew their allegiance to you, and turn away from their sin because you punish them,then listen from heaven and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel. Certainly you will then teach them the right way to live and send rain on your land that you have given your people to possess.“ The time will come when the land suffers from a famine, a plague, blight, and disease, or a locust invasion, or when their enemy lays siege to the cities of the land, or when some other type of plague or epidemic occurs.

Then the anger of the LORD will erupt against you and he will close up the sky so that it does not rain. The land will not yield its produce, and you will soon be removed from the good land that the Lord is about to give you.

These two have the power to close up the sky so that it does not rain during the time they are prophesying. They have power to turn the waters to blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague whenever they want.

But if you refuse to release my people, I am going to bring locusts into your territory tomorrow.They will cover the surface of the earth, so that you will be unable to see the ground. They will eat the remainder of what escaped– what is left over for you– from the hail, and they will eat every tree that grows for you from the field.They will fill your houses, the houses of your servants, and all the houses of Egypt, such as neither your fathers nor your grandfathers have seen since they have been in the land until this day!’” Then Moses turned and went out from Pharaoh.

“ To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write the following:“ This is the solemn pronouncement of the Holy One, the True One, who holds the key of David, who opens doors no one can shut, and shuts doors no one can open:

Gad went to David and told him,“ Shall seven years of famine come upon your land? Or shall you flee for three months from your enemy with him in hot pursuit? Or shall there be three days of plague in your land? Now decide what I should tell the one who sent me.”David said to Gad,“ I am very upset! I prefer that we be attacked by the LORD, for his mercy is great; I do not want to be attacked by men!”So the LORD sent a plague through Israel from the morning until the completion of the appointed time. Seventy thousand men died from Dan to Beer Sheba.

I will make up for the years that the‘ arbeh-locust consumed your crops– the yeleq-locust, the hasil-locust, and the gazam-locust– my great army that I sent against you.

and a fruitful land into a barren place, because of the sin of its inhabitants.

He ordered locusts to come, innumerable grasshoppers.

I will strike them with the pestilence, and I will disinherit them; I will make you into a nation that is greater and mightier than they!”

Then Moses said to Aaron,“ Take the censer, put burning coals from the altar in it, place incense on it, and go quickly into the assembly and make atonement for them, for wrath has gone out from the LORD– the plague has begun!”So Aaron did as Moses commanded and ran into the middle of the assembly, where the plague was just beginning among the people. So he placed incense on the coals and made atonement for the people.

If he comes by and confines you and convenes a court, then who can prevent him?

What the gazam-locust left the‘ arbeh-locust consumed, what the‘ arbeh-locust left the yeleq-locust consumed, and what the yeleq-locust left the hasil-locust consumed!Wake up, you drunkards, and weep! Wail, all you wine drinkers, because the sweet wine has been taken away from you.For a nation has invaded our land. There are so many of them they are too numerous to count. Their teeth are like those of a lion; they tear apart their prey like a lioness.They have destroyed our vines; they have turned our fig trees into mere splinters. They have completely stripped off the bark and thrown them aside; the twigs are stripped bare.

If he tears down, it cannot be rebuilt; if he imprisons a person, there is no escape.

“ Or suppose I were to send a plague into that land, and pour out my rage on it with bloodshed, killing both people and animals.Even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as surely as I live, declares the sovereign LORD, they could not save their own son or daughter; they would save only their own lives by their righteousness.“ For this is what the sovereign LORD says: How much worse will it be when I send my four terrible judgments– sword, famine, wild animals, and plague– to Jerusalem to kill both people and animals!

But in truth I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in Elijah’s days, when the sky was shut up three and a half years, and there was a great famine over all the land.
