However, the LORD said to my father David,“ Since it was your desire to build a temple for my name, you have done well to have this desire.

耶和华却对我父大卫说：‘你立意要为我的名建殿，这意思甚好；

耶和华却对我父大卫说：‘你有心为我的名建殿，这心意是好的；

耶和华却对我父大卫说：‘你有心为我的名建殿，这心意是好的；

但耶和华对我父大卫说，‘你想为我建殿，这番心意是好的，

耶和华却对我的父亲大卫说：‘你心想要为我的名建造殿宇，你心意很好；

耶和華卻對我父大衛說：『你立意要為我的名建殿，這意思甚好；

耶和華卻對我父大衛說：『你有心為我的名建殿，這心意是好的；

耶和華卻對我父大衛說：『你有心為我的名建殿，這心意是好的；

但耶和華對我父大衛說，『你想為我建殿，這番心意是好的，

耶和華卻對我的父親大衛說：‘你心想要為我的名建造殿宇，你心意很好；

永恆主卻對我父親大衛說：「你心裏有意思要為我的名建殿，你心裏這意思固然好；

耶和華諭之曰、爾欲為我名建室、此意誠善、

耶和華諭之曰、爾欲建殿、為籲我名之所、此舉甚善。

主諭我父大衛曰、爾意欲為我名建殿、爾之意甚善、

But the Lord said to my father David,‘ You did well to have it in your heart to build a temple for my Name.

But the Lord spoke to my father David. He said,‘ With all your heart you wanted to build a temple for my Name. It is good that you wanted to do that.

But the Lord said to David my father,‘ Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart.

But the Lord told him,‘ You wanted to build the Temple to honor my name. Your intention is good,

But the Lord said to my father David,‘ Because it was in your heart to build a house for My name, you did well that it was in your heart.

But the Lord said to my father David,‘ Whereas it was in your heart to build a temple for My name, you did well in that it was in your heart.

But Jehovah said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thy heart to build a house for my name, thou didst well that it was in thy heart:

However, Yahweh said to my father David,“ Since it was your desire to build a temple for My name, you have done well to have this desire.

But the LORD said to David my father, Forasmuch as it was in thine heart to build an house for my name, thou didst well in that it was in thine heart:

The LORD told my father David,‘ It is right for you to have a strong desire to build a temple to honor me.

But Yahweh said to David my father,‘ Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart;

She has done what she could; she has anointed my body in advance for burial.

But the LORD said to my father David,“ Since your heart was set on building a temple for my name, you have done well to have this desire.Yet you are not the one to build it; instead, your son, your own offspring, will build it for my name.”The LORD has fulfilled what he promised. I have taken the place of my father David, and I sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised. I have built the temple for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel.I have provided a place there for the ark, where the LORD’s covenant is that he made with our ancestors when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.

For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.
