昔耶和華在以色列支派中、曾簡耶路撒冷、為籲厥名之所、羅波暗在彼、鞏固其國、時年四十有一、即位於耶路撒冷、歷十七年、亞捫婦拿馬其母也。

以色列族之上帝耶和華、簡猶大族為長、在猶大族中、簡我父家為最、在我父眾子中、簡我永為以色列族王。

乃簡猶大一族、愛斯郇山、爰建聖室、與天同高、與地同久兮、遴選大闢為僕、不使守群畜、

我之上帝耶和華、居於其邑、在彼聖山、至尊無對、要當崇敬之兮。

耶和華謂撒母耳曰、掃羅為以色列王、我不永其祚、汝為懷憂、伊於何底。可盛膏於角、我將遣爾至伯利恆人耶西所、其眾子中我簡其一、立之為王。

維我遴選郇邑、為我居處兮、

鄰封遣使至、將何以答之、曰、耶和華建造郇邑、貧民實倚賴之。

昔爾顯厥異象、諭爾愛僕、曰、維彼傑士、余所眷佑、在兆民間、余遴選之、登庸之兮、臣僕大闢、既為我得、沐以聖膏兮、
