於是羅波安自強、仍為王在耶路撒冷、羅波安即位時、年四十有一歲、都耶路撒冷、在位十七年、耶路撒冷乃主曾在以色列諸支派中、選為主名所在之處、或作選為籲主名之處羅波安母亞捫人、名拿瑪、

主以色列之天主、在我父之全家中、特選我永為以色列王、選猶大支派為長、在猶大支派中、選我父家為最、在我父眾子中悅我、立我為以色列眾之王、

但選猶大支派、選所悅之郇山、營建聖殿、崇高如天、如永久奠定之地、又特選僕人大衛、召之於羊牢中、

主我之天主在己城中聖山之上、至大無比、極當頌揚、

謂撒母耳曰、爾為掃羅而憂、伊於何底、我已棄之、不容其為以色列王、今以膏盛於角、我將遣爾至伯利恆人耶西家、我於其眾子中選其一、立之為王、

因主選擇郇城、樂為駐蹕之所、

其國其國或作異邦遣使而至、將何以答之、必答曰、主建郇邑、其民之貧者、必於其中得覆庇焉、

當初主在默示中應許虔誠人云、我施恩以助英雄、我升舉民中被選者、我尋得我僕人大衛、沐以我之聖膏、
