Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.Thus saith the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say[ shall be] desolate without man and without beast,[ even] in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD[ is] good; for his mercy[ endureth] for ever:[ and] of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing[ their] flocks to lie down.In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth[ them], saith the LORD.

Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked[ him] with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity.Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry:And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captives.Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name,[ and] to triumph in thy praise.

And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I[ am] the LORD.

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and[ put it] also in writing, saying,Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which[ is] in Judah.Who[ is there] among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which[ is] in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel,( he[ is] the God,) which[ is] in Jerusalem.And whosoever remaineth in any place where he sojourneth, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, beside the freewill offering for the house of God that[ is] in Jerusalem.Then rose up the chief of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, with all[ them] whose spirit God had raised, to go up to build the house of the LORD which[ is] in Jerusalem.And all they that[ were] about them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, beside all[ that] was willingly offered.
