Then Solomon summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes and the chiefs of the Israelite families, to bring up the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Zion, the City of David.

Then Solomon sent for the elders of Israel. He told them to come to Jerusalem. They included all the leaders of the tribes. They also included the chiefs of the families of Israel. Solomon wanted them to bring up the ark of the Lord’ s covenant from Zion. Zion was the City of David.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Solomon then summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel and all the heads of tribes— the leaders of the ancestral families of Israel. They were to bring the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant to the Temple from its location in the City of David, also known as Zion.

At that time Solomon assembled at Jerusalem the elders of Israel— all the tribal heads, the ancestral chiefs of the Israelites— in order to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD up from the city of David, that is, Zion.

Then Solomon assembled at Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes, and the leaders of the fathers’ households of the sons of Israel, to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord up from the city of David, which is Zion.

Now Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the chief fathers of the children of Israel, in Jerusalem, that they might bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord up from the City of David, which is Zion.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ houses of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the city of David, which is Zion.

At that time Solomon assembled at Jerusalem the elders of Israel— all the tribal heads, the ancestral chiefs of the Israelites— in order to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord up from the city of David, that is, Zion.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which[ is] Zion.

Then Solomon convened Israel’s elders– all the leaders of the Israelite tribes and families– in Jerusalem, so they could witness the transferal of the ark of the covenant of the LORD from the City of David( that is, Zion).

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh’s covenant out of David’s city, which is Zion.

有人告诉大卫王：“耶和华因为神的约柜的缘故，赐福给俄别‧以东的家和一切属他的。”大卫就去，欢欢喜喜把神的约柜从俄别‧以东的家中抬上大卫的城里去。

至于神的约柜，大卫已经从基列．耶琳抬到他预备好的地方，因为他曾在耶路撒冷为约柜盖搭了一个帐幕。

这示罗密和他的兄弟掌管库房里的一切圣物，就是大卫王、众家族首领、千夫长、百夫长和军长所献的圣物。

以色列人从耶和华的山起行，行了三天的路程，耶和华的约柜在他们前面行了三天的路程，为他们寻找安息的地方。

他们把神的约柜抬了进去，安放在大卫为它所搭的会幕中间，然后在神面前献上了燔祭和平安祭。

于是大卫和以色列的众长老，以及千夫长一起前去，从俄别．以东的家欢欢喜喜地把耶和华的约柜抬上来。

因为耶和华拣选了锡安，定意把它当作自己的居所。他说：“这是我永远安息的居所；我要住在这里，因为我定意这样作。我要赐给锡安丰盛的粮食，我要使城中的穷人饱足。我要使祭司都披上救恩，使圣民都大大欢呼。我要在那里使大卫的角长起来，我要为我的受膏者安排明灯。

全体负责歌唱的利未人和亚萨、希幔、耶杜顿，以及他们的儿子和亲族，都穿着细麻布的衣服，站在祭坛的东边，敲钹、鼓瑟、弹琴；和他们在一起的，还有一百二十个祭司吹号；

他们在大卫王、撒督、亚希米勒，以及祭司和利未人的家族首领面前也抽了签，好像他们的亲族亚伦的子孙一样；各家族首领和他们年幼的兄弟都一样抽了签。

大卫却攻取了锡安的保障，就是大卫的城。

约柜停住的时候，他就说：“耶和华啊，求你归来，回到以色列的千万人中。”

所罗门为耶和华的殿所作的一切工程完成了以后，就把他父亲大卫分别为圣的东西：金银和一切器皿，都带来存放在神殿的库房里。

大卫把以色列的众领袖：各支派的领袖、轮班服事王的领袖、千夫长、百夫长、掌管王和王子们一切财产与牲畜的领袖，以及太监、显贵和所有英勇的战士，都召集到耶路撒冷来。

“我已经在锡安我的圣山上，立了我的君王。”

耶和华爱锡安的城门，胜过雅各的一切居所。

对他们说：“你们是利未人各家族的首领，你们和你们的亲族都要自洁，好把以色列的神耶和华的约柜抬上来，到我为它预备的地方去。

那时，所罗门把以色列的长老、各支派的首领和以色列的族长，都召集到耶路撒冷自己面前，要把耶和华的约柜从大卫城，就是锡安运上来。于是，在以他念月，就是七月，在守节期的时候，以色列众人都聚集到所罗门王那里。以色列的众长老都来到了，祭司们就把约柜抬起来。祭司和利未人把耶和华的约柜、会幕和会幕里的一切圣器具都运上来。所罗门王和聚集到他那里的以色列全体会众，都一同在约柜前献牛羊为祭，数目多得不可胜数，无法计算。祭司把耶和华的约柜抬进内殿为它预备的地方，就是至圣所，放在两个基路伯的翅膀底下。因为基路伯展开翅膀在约柜所在地的上面，遮掩约柜和抬柜的杠。这些杠很长，在内殿前的圣所可以看见杠头，在殿外却看不见；直到今日，这些杠还在那里。约柜里面只有两块石版，这两块石版在以色列人出埃及地以后，耶和华与他们立约的时候，摩西在何烈山放在那里的。祭司从圣所里出来的时候，有云彩充满耶和华的殿，因为云彩的缘故，祭司不能站立服事，因为耶和华的荣光充满了圣殿。

作书记的利未人拿坦业的儿子示玛雅，在君王、领袖、撒督祭司、亚比亚他的儿子亚希米勒，以及众祭司家族和利未家族的首领面前，把他们的名字记录下来。在以利亚撒的子孙中，有一家族被选取了；在以他玛的子孙中，也有一家族被选取了。
