耶和華曰、時日伊邇、我與以色列族猶大家將立新約。昔我佑厥祖導出埃及、與之立約為彼所爽、我擯之弗顧、今復立約、必不若是。我必與以色列族、共立新約、我將以我律法、置其衷、銘其心、我為彼上帝、彼為我民。耶和華曰、彼毋需誨其兄弟鄰里、使識耶和華、蓋自尊逮卑、莫不知予、我將赦其罪、不錄其愆。

上帝於西乃山、既與摩西言、手書律法於二石碑、以賜之。

摩西旋踵下山、攜律法之二碑於手、碑成於上帝、前後各有文字、上帝所書、勒於石、

宇內屬我、爾果聽我言、守我約、則於列國中、我必以爾為寶、

今所立之約尤善、其許人之福更大、耶穌為其中保、故受職至尊、如前之約罔缺、則後之約毋庸、惟主視其有缺、故諭眾曰、時日伊邇、我與以色列猶大民、將別立新約、此約、與我援其祖出埃及時所立之約異、彼不恆守我舊約、我檳之弗顧、當日之後、吾必與以色列民、共立新約、吾將以我律法、置其衷、銘其心、我將為彼上帝、彼將為我民、彼不需誨其昆弟鄰里、使識上帝、蓋由尊逮卑、眾必知我、余將宥其不義、不念其罪惡、既以此約為新、則以彼約為舊、凡舊而漸衰徵者、必不久自廢、

耶和華諭摩西曰、昔爾毀石碑、今又製二碑、我書其上、一如前言、

摩西近營見犢、有民舞蹈、怒擲二石碑、折於山下。

以律法藏於匱、貫杠於旁、置施恩之所於上、

今日爾與族中最著者、長老族長、暨以色列眾、爰及妻孥、營中之賓旅、自採樵者及汲水者、俱立於爾上帝耶和華前。

昔在何烈、耶和華與以色列族既立盟約、今在摩押、更諭摩西、重申其約。

以盟約之詞、誦於民聽。僉曰、耶和華所諭、我必遵行。摩西以血灑民曰、此耶和華諭爾之約之血、○
