“ This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:“‘ The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah. Any of his people among you may go up, and may the Lord their God be with them.’”

“ Cyrus, the king of Persia, says,“‘ The Lord is the God of heaven. He has given me all the kingdoms on earth. He has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah. Any of his people among you may go up to Jerusalem. And may the Lord their God be with them.’ ”

王啊，你是王中之王！天上的神把国度、权能、力量和尊荣都赐给了你，

地上所有的居民都算为无有，他照着自己的旨意对待天上的众军和地上的居民。没有人能拦住他的手，或对他说：“你做什么？”

不要向上高举你们的角，不要扬起脖子说傲慢的话！’”因为人被高举不是来自东面或西面，也不是来自旷野；因为神是审判者，他降卑这人、高举那人；

那么，对这些事我们要怎么说呢？神如果支持我们，谁还能反对我们呢？

反而对天上的主高举自己，让人把他殿中的器皿带到你面前来，你和你的大臣们、妻子们、妃嫔们都用这些来喝酒；你称赞那些不能看、不能听、不能知——用金、银、铜、铁、木、石所做的神明，却不尊崇那位掌握你的气息、掌握你一切道路的神。

是他改变时势和时期；是他废王、立王；是他赐智慧给智慧人，赐知识给有悟性的人；

王啊，至高神把国度、权势、尊荣和威严赐给了你先王尼布甲尼撒！

是我实现我仆人的话语，成就我使者们的筹算；我论耶路撒冷说：‘必有人居住’，又论犹大各城说：‘必被重建，我必使它们从废墟中兴起’；是我对深渊说：‘干涸吧！我也要使流入你的江河枯干’；我论居鲁士说：‘我的牧人！他必成就我所喜悦的一切’，论耶路撒冷说：‘必被重建’，又论圣殿说：‘根基必被奠定。’”
