Furthermore, all the leaders of the priests and the people became more and more unfaithful, following all the detestable practices of the nations and defiling the temple of the Lord, which he had consecrated in Jerusalem.

And that’s not all. The people and all the leaders of the priests became more and more unfaithful. They followed all the practices of the nations. The Lord hated those practices. The people and leaders made the Lord’ s temple“ unclean.” The Lord had set the temple in Jerusalem apart in a special way for himself.

All the officers of the priests and the people likewise were exceedingly unfaithful, following all the abominations of the nations. And they polluted the house of the Lord that he had made holy in Jerusalem.

Likewise, all the leaders of the priests and the people became more and more unfaithful. They followed all the pagan practices of the surrounding nations, desecrating the Temple of the Lord that had been consecrated in Jerusalem.

All the leaders of the priests and the people multiplied their unfaithful deeds, imitating all the detestable practices of the nations, and they defiled the LORD’s temple that he had consecrated in Jerusalem.

Furthermore, all the officials of the priests and the people were very unfaithful, following all the abominations of the nations; and they defiled the house of the Lord which He had sanctified in Jerusalem.

Moreover all the leaders of the priests and the people transgressed more and more, according to all the abominations of the nations, and defiled the house of the Lord which He had consecrated in Jerusalem.

Moreover all the chiefs of the priests, and the people, trespassed very greatly after all the abominations of the nations; and they polluted the house of Jehovah which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.

All the leaders of the priests and the people multiplied their unfaithful deeds, imitating all the detestable practices of the nations, and they defiled the Lord’s temple that He had consecrated in Jerusalem.

Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the LORD which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.

All the leaders of the priests and people became more unfaithful and committed the same horrible sins practiced by the nations. They defiled the LORD’s temple which he had consecrated in Jerusalem.

Moreover all the chiefs of the priests, and the people, trespassed very greatly after all the abominations of the nations; and they polluted Yahweh’s house which he had made holy in Jerusalem.

我與我王公列祖、獲罪乎主、必當抱愧蒙羞、

昔耶和華曰、耶路撒冷必為籲我名之所、永世勿替、而馬拿西在耶和華殿之二院築壇、奉事天象。

爾臣僕諸先知、藉爾之名、告我王公祖父國民之語、我不聽從、

諸牧伯奏王曰、斯人所言、邑中武士百姓、無不喪膽、以若所云、於民不利、可殺之。

雅各家之長者、以色列族之士師、疾仁義、反公平者、宜聽我言、爾曹行惡殺人、得其貨財、以建郇邑、及耶路撒冷、長者聽訟、為納苞苴、祭司訓民、惟望賞賚、先知圖利、而言未來事、然眾恃耶和華自謂耶和華左右我、必不遘災、

祭司干犯律例、玩瀆聖物、聖與不聖、潔與不潔、不為剖別、我之安息日、不復恪守、棄我於民中、邑中之牧伯若狼、行其殘害、肆其吞噬、以獲不義之利。先知所見者、虛偽之異象、所占者無憑之卜筮、自謂傳耶和華之命、然我未嘗示之、若作垣墉、以不堅緻之泥塗之、

自列祖之時、迄於今日、世濟其惡、因此我與我王、祭司、敗於列國之王、為其殺戮、劫掠攘奪、蒙恥忍辱、今日之事為證。

適出便雅憫門、閽長哈拿尼亞孫、示利米子以哩雅、執之曰、爾欲投迦勒底人乎。耶利米曰、否、否、迦勒底人、我安肯降之。以哩雅不聽、仍執耶利米、解至牧伯、牧伯怒、撻耶利米、在繕寫約拿單之室、有囹圄、幽之於彼。

以色列牧伯、居於爾中、竭力殺人、

彼諭我曰、人子、北向而瞻望、我見、北方、祭壇門內有偶像、是上帝所不容以匹己者、又諭我曰、人子、爾觀以色列族在此、所行不義、深堪痛疾、使我去聖所甚遠、然爾將見可惡之事、較此尤甚。遂導我至院門、我見壁有隙、彼諭我曰、人子、宜鑿此壁、予鑿之、見一門。彼曰、爾入得見、彼眾在此、所作不端、深可疾焉。予入而觀之、有不潔之獸、昆蟲之狀、及以色列族所拜諸偶像、繪於壁四周、偶像之前、以色列族長老七十人咸立、撒番子雅散雅亦在其中、各執爐炷香、烟篆繚繞若雲。主諭我曰、人子盍觀以色列族長老、暗室所為、咸入偶像之所、自謂耶和華不加鑒察、耶和華已遐棄斯民。主諭我曰、爾可更觀其所作、愈堪深疾、較此尤甚。遂導我至耶和華殿北門、在彼有婦女群坐、為大母斯哀泣。主謂我曰、人子、爾盍觀此、爾可更觀其所作、愈堪深疾、較此尤甚。遂導我入耶和華殿內院、我見門內廡下祭壇之間、有二十五人、背耶和華殿、東向拜日、

昔異邦族類、行可惡之事、耶和華為以色列逐之、今亞哈士亦效其尤、在便欣嫩谷焚獻子女、

我必詣世家、與之語、彼庶幾灼知上帝耶和華之道、惟彼折軛斷維、不受約束。

亞哈士王詣大馬色、而迓亞述王滴臘比利斯、在彼見祭壇、遂圖其壇之規模制度、遣人持至祭司烏哩亞所、祭司烏哩亞作壇、循亞哈士、自大馬色、所賚之圖而造、王未旋歸、壇已告成。王自大馬色至、見壇、近前獻祭、焚其燔祭禮物、酒以灌奠、以酬恩祭牲之血、灑於壇上。昔耶和華殿前、銅壇在焉、新壇既造、銅壇間之、故亞哈士移置新壇之北。命祭司烏哩亞曰、朝之燔祭、夕之禮物、王與兆民所獻之燔祭禮物、酒以灌奠、俱必獻於大壇、燔祭及禮物之血灑於其上、惟此銅壇、我用以諮諏上帝。祭司烏哩亞遵命而行。
